the best hostel in thailand, hands down! i had the best time ever at this hostel, they definitely made full moon the best experience possible. friendly, fun and safe too. staff were wikid , sooo friendly and arranged loads of stuff to do in the day and night. thank you sooooo much dancing elephants ...andrew is the best :D cannot praise this place enough. met some amazing people and made some awesome memories. keep doing what your doing! recommended ! hopefully see you all again! xx mc xx

Great atmosphere - stayed in the 40 dorm and it didn't seem that crowded. The room had disco lights and was cool and dark, perfect to retreat to with a hangover!

Here during Full Moon party. Location is right in the middle of all the action. The dorms are very full but you will meet so many new friends. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations this is not it but if you are looking for fun, perfect place. A bit expensive compared to other hostels but close to everything.

This is the party hostel. If your a hard core raver that can drink all night and sleep in a 40 bed dorm then go for it...If not then stay away.

stayed here 5 days during fullmoon party. had the best time ever and this hostel is actually the best one i stayed in so far. great location, helpful staff, clean rooms (stayed in the 19 bed dorm) party every every night outside the hostel on the street with the best atmosphere ever. very good hostel if you're traveling alone., met so many amazing and crazy people!! its def a party hostel, but thats what fullmoon is all about! highly recommend it, and would absolutely stay here next time to!!!

Excellent location, few minutes walk to the full moon party. But sharing just one toilet and two showers with 18 other people can be annoying. Its very social so easy to meet people, its loud at night but the bars on the street stop playing music around midnight so its easy to sleep. But still pretty expensive for what it is.

I have been traveling for the last 5 month and this is by far the best hostel i stayed at! the staff are the coolest! these guys know what a traveler needs! Also, they know how to party:) its a little bit expensive for a hostel but totally worth it!!

This is the place to be for the Full Moon Party. The hostel itself offers a good dorm, good showers and some hard mattress (futton stlyle on 19 ppl dorm). The air con is perfect for the hangovers. The atmosphere is as party as it can get and the 5 days minimun sucks when you do the reservation but end up to be the best thing as you bond with everybody!

Great place to meet other people if travelling alone!

A little investment in the lounge area furniture towards allowing more people and making it more comfortable would go a long way!

This hostel was the first I stayed in on Thailand and I'm sooooo glad I did!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing and so friendly, it really is like one big family! The people I met were amazing! I couldn't recommend this hostel any more!! If you want a fun place to stay to meet people then this is the hostel to be at! It is friendly, safe, fun and location is amazing!! It is a party hostel though so if that's not what your after then it's maybe not for you!

Coming to this hostel you chouldnt ask for anything better for value for money, the staff guys are awesome!! They are always there to help you... Organise some very funny awesome times!!! An gets every1 involved!! Will definitely be staying there when I return to the island!!

Dancing Elephant Hostel is a great hostel. When you like to party and have fun this is the place to be. The manager of this hostel is a crazy guy that knows how to entertain the guests. I was here during the half moon party even it was not so crowded he organized a nice pre-party and arranged a taxi to the half moon. Had a great time here!

This is the number 1 hostel in ko phangan for a reason, it has the best atmosphere, security, and especially staff, David, Eddie, Raf and Jam made my time on the island unforgettable! Do yourself a favor and book in ! Chris Brazzers

19 bed dorms seem bad at first, but after sleeping one night you don't even notice it. Other than the bathrooms, this place was fine to stay at. Best part is the atmosphere. Very easy to meet people. I also think Dancing Elephant has the best pre-party on the island.

This is probably the best hostel to stay in Haad Rin if you are a backpacker. It is central to all the beach parties including full moon. The staff is very friendly and gives great advice. They have there own bar so it is nice to preface here too. It's easy to meet people and you feel very safe and taken care of. I highly recommend it.

If you like to party non stop, allday and allnight without sleeping well and long you´re in the right hostel. We were in the 40 dorm room, and in front of this dorm room there is the hostel bar. Every evening there is loud music and drinking games. If you want to party it is very nice but if you want to get sleep it´s horrible. The staff is very nice expect from the owner. He was unpolite to us and in addition drunk. We got the feeling that he´s just cashhungry...All in all it´s too expensive.
