There is a great atmosphere - building is 100% authentic and really beautiful - colorful with appropriate furniture. Located in medina - perfect, but hard to find in a labirynth of narrow streets and crowds of people during the day. I thought that "ensuite" means that bathroom is in your room :) but it appeared that it is separated and a bit far away from a room. However, we were only one to use it, so it was ok Great for this price.

Very clean and centric hostel with rooms decorated in typical moroccan style

Beautiful traditional riad in a great location - 30 second walk from the middle of souks in the medina. We had a great experience of the staff, we were never pushed with guides or additionals, we explored Fes for ourselves without interference. Staff are hit and miss, however the older man with glasses was incredible - we nicknamed him 'dad' as he would stay up to ensure we got back safely. Don't buy the breakfast at the riad as the bakery where it is bought from is near the blue gate.

very nice place to stay in Fez, perfect location, very nice host, beautiful atrium. Before booking, double check the room you get - we got 4person room, where actually there should 2 or 3 persons stay - it was too little for us. The bathroom and toilet could be much better..., but for a 1 or 2-day stay it is ok. Best regards for Said - very friendly host. Justyna & Co.

This Dar/Riad was quite lovely and a great deal for the price we paid. Abdul was helpful in setting up day trips, walking tours, and taxis whenever we needed it. Definitely a 'budget' riad; showers weren't fantastic and bedroom was very humid, but it was cheaper than a hostel and much nicer than European hostels I've stayed in. Check out the (top) terrace and get the 2 euro breakfast. The moroccan crepes are amazing. Lastly it was an easy to find and good situated location!

Hard to find but good location.

The staff was very kind and helpful, always accommodating to our needs. The location was super as well, it was in the heart of the Old Town. The staff hooked us up with a tour guide(local berber) that knew the city very well and we got to see places that we would not have otherwise.

I'm so thankful we ended up staying at this hostel. The staff was so incredibly warm and welcoming and went out of their way to take care of us. We were cold so they brought in heaters and extra blankets for us and gave us breakfast in the morning. One of the staff members even called his brother to be our tour guide around Fes which truly made our experience one we will never forget. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. The location is also fantastic, right in the heart of the city.

Great location, near the main gate of the medina, nice decor and good sized rooms. Only down fall was that the room on the ground floor opposite the entrance smells damp, especially the bathroom. Had to run fan all the time so smell was not so obvious. Otherwise great find would just ask to stay in different room next time.

Fortunately, we stayed there only one night. Except in a good location and nice staff, our room was tight and on the walls were damp and fungus. But I have peeked other rooms. They were bigger than ours, and maybe better one? Kitchen looked unused for centuries covered with dust and the walls ran insects. What about badroom it was acceptable... for one day. It was humid and with no shelf for toiletries.

The nicest place we have stayed in so far in morocco. Vry close to nice food, and a fun medina without being too touristy (no coaches full of people) although quite a backpacky area. Hotel is very clean and staff very helpful

we spent two nights here and where very happy with everything. easy to find, quiet, clean, fully functional and near the best food stands and shops at the top of the medina. there is a roof terrace with fantastic views all across the city and a beautiful lobby. our room was huuuuge for the price, and even had a bath! all the staff where very friendly and helpful.

A lovely looking riad and great location but it was quite dark in our room and everything just felt damp. Don't know if it was just cold or actually damp but either way a tad disconcerting.

This was a lovely Riad to stay in - beautifully decorated, friendly&helpful staff and in a fantastic location! The breakfast that was included in our booking was plentiful and filling and our rooms were cleaned everyday.

The staff were fantastic and went way beyond the call of duty! We could not have had a better time and the guys at DB were a big reason for that!

We had such a fantastic stay at the hostel! Our tour guide, Karim Mostakim was excellent and I would really recommend asking for him as he took us on a fantastic tour and to places where we could really experience true Moroccan culture. The riad is in a very central location, it is easy and cheap to get to from the airport, staff at the riad were very helpful and caring and would really recommend staying here.

beautiful and relaxing atmosphere inside, we especially enjoyed the roof terrace. It's just around the corner of the main gate and all the restaurants. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

A little more expensive than the last place we stayed, but the interior was beautiful and the bedding was clean. In February the rooms were very cold at night.
