We truly felt like we were staying in someone's home. Everyone went above and beyond! Wish we could've stayed more than one night. Next time!!! The family's store, Coin Berbere, is also fantastic. Don't shy away from visiting this just because you feel like might be pressured to buy something - you won't!!!

Dar Fes Medina was a fantastic hotel and I would definitely return. The welcome was warm and the owner and staff were extremely helpful. One recommendation to travellers is to get a metered taxi (red petite taxi) if coming from the train or bus station straight to Bab Ziat (the nearest gate) as this is the easiest way to find the hotel. Additionally the map on hostelworld is incorrect.
We arrived at the Dar Fes Medina on 27 December. We had booked ahead and asked to be picked up from the airport. The drive from the airport was a short one (about 20 minutes) and unlike with other Dars and Riads, the car dropped us right outside. Mohammed greeted us and made us feel at home. The Dar is well located, clean and spacious. The room was great (ground floor) and the staff are really cheerful and helpful. They were quite accommodating and prepared a full breakfast for us at 6am!

Really great place to stay, especially if you're looking for personalized, individual attention. The house and rooms are lovely, the location is great -- in the medina but slightly off the main path so it's never too loud --, and the owners Mohammed and Fatima are incredibly resourceful and kind. They helped us organize our city tours and surrounding-area day trips, as well as places for meals. The breakfasts and cookies are great -- I suggest you eat on the roof terrace in the morning!!
Dar Fes Medina was without a doubt the best place we stayed in Morocco! It is excellent value for money! The very helpful staff arranged a pick-up from the bus station as well as a tour with an official guide at excellent prices. The breakfast served, either at the beautiful common room or at the beautiful rooftop, was also the best we experienced in Morocco. The room was spotlessly clean and perfectly furnished. At all times mint tea with homemade cookies are served. We'll come back anytime!
