If you want to have life-long memories, definitely choose this place! Dar Hafsa was woderful place to stay. The family who runs the business is very friendly and helpful. The host (Abdul Karim) did everything that we could feel in Marocco like at home and shared the most interesting places to see, best restaurants to have dinner and the best shops. Dar Hafsa is in a very good location-in the heart of the Medina a few seconds of the main street. The host was very helpful and polite.Perfect place!

the Dar Hafsa was a wonderful place to stay. the hosts are very, very helpful, polite and gracious. the rooms are decorated beautifully in true Moroccan style and the place is immaculate. it is definite Y the best experience we had in Morocco. Because the property is located in the medi a it is necessary for the staff to pick you up at the main gate. they do this free of charge and happily. the breakfast is included and is fabulous. We highly recommend this lovely property!

WOW! Would highly recommend staying here while you visit Fez. We have travelled around the world and this is honestly the best place we have ever stayed in terms if location, character and staff. The brother and sister duo running the place are full of useful information, help and advice, they even took us to a traditional Hammam, purchasing all the necessary bits on the way there and ensured we paid the correct price. The building itself is a work of art and every room is like a palace. V happy

What a charming place to stay. I loved the location - slightly off from the main 'road' in the Medina - so it was nice and quiet, but so close to the action it was a simple walk to anywhere we wanted to go. We actually stayed an entire week here, long enough to really feel like home. My favorite moments, after the delicous breakfast with all the coffee I wanted of course, were evening chats with Mieriem and Aziz, and time spent relaxing on the roof terrace, listening to the calls to prayer.

Dar Hafsa is a wonderful guest house in the medina. It is a hidden gem in the narrow streets of the medina. We were received very kindly by Mr Idrissi and his family. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast is more than just delicious and I had to force myself to stop eating! Mr Idrissi gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and we found us the best tour guide (ask for Nadia at the Tourism Office). Free wifi also works great at the hotel.

One of the better guesthouses we stayed at in Fes, and overall in Morocco. The owner (Abdel Karim) really went out of his way to make us feel at home. The whole family is friendly, charming, and speaks good English. Compared to other places in Fes medina, it is much more safe - in a great location that is easy to find in that maze! Felt safe walking around even at night. A wonderful spot to use as a base for exploring the city.

Oasis in the heart of the Fez medina - lovely breakfast can be taken on the tranquil terrace with views stretching across town to the mountains. This charming family run place is so chilled out that it's almost horizontal. Ask any of the family for recommendations for sights, views, shopping ideas and the response will be spot on. Could be a bit difficult for you to find yourself - so give them a call and they will retrieve you from Bab Jaloud!

Stayed at Dar Hafsa with my fiance on 16.02.2012 for one night. Meryem and her father were absolutaly more than happy and keen to wellcome us. Helping on anything and giving advices with directions to explore Fez. We were absolutaly happy with our ground floor room with en suite bathroom. There's a great roof terrace for panoramic views. Clean and secure place with a great traditional atmosphere. Definetaly deserving 2011 and 2012 best hostel reward.

Dar Hafsa is an amazing place staffed with the warmest and most welcoming of hosts. The breakfast is second to none, the hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located, and Abdul Kareem took care of both a tour guide within Fes and a two-night trip to the desert for us. It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else!
