Dar Jameel is a fantastic Riad with great service, breakfast and amenities. This was our second time traveling in Morocco and having been to Fez and Marrakesh before, this was by far the easiest place to find. A tip: If coming from Tarifa on ferry go out the port and look up to see a huge sign for the Hotel Continental, cross the lot and climb the steps and just behind the hotel is Dar Jameel. We found it in 5 minutes! I highly recommend this Riad for anyone traveling to Tangiers.

The owner, Layton, was the most hospitable person I have ever met in years of traveling. His knowledge, manners, and willingness to help guests with any problem set the standard by which I will measure the places I stay in the future. In a sometimes difficult country, a place like Dar Jameel is a must-stay.

Just like everyone else that has written about this place I can't say enough good things. I would gladly stay here again over any luxury hotel. The staff and view made this the most amazing place I have booked on hostelworld by far. Don't miss out on this place. The only thing that could have been improved was the lack of hot water for a shower in the morning but it's Morocco so it was all part of the experience.

This was such an incredible hostel - I could not have imagined a better stay in Tangier! The staff was so helpful and fun, the building was beautiful and in a prime location for getting around the Medina, the breakfast was simply out of this world, rooms comfortable and spacious, and the overall experience made our trip even better than we could have imagined.

An amazing riad in the heart of the old town. The hall itself is worth visiting. I had a beautiful room at the third floor with a view on the sea (actually there's a 360° roof terrace too, with tables to sit down and enjoy a good mint tea at the sunset, and an intimate glass walls room at the top of it with sofas, music and book, so relaxing!) The owner and staff are very kind and helpful, I would definitely recommend it.

Definitely one of the best places I've been to. Amazing roof terrace, great service, and it's location is in the heart of the old Medina. You'll think you just stepped into some kind of fairytale as soon as you walk in the door.

Dar Jameel is perhaps the most quaint, magical, and relaxing places I've ever stayed. My friends and I felt like queens. From breakfast of fresh orange juice, cheese, olives, pastries, and eggs, to the roof top oasis, Dar Jameel is a must for any traveler looking for luxury on a dime.

Whatever people may think of Tangier, it's impossible not to love this hotel. So relaxing, and cool, with very friendly staff. For the price, I cannot recommend it enough. I'd recommend it if it cost twice the price!

The only place to stay in tangier - amazing traditional Guesthouse ... Oozed character with amazing common areas - espacially the roof top terrace where you can relax and take in the 360 degree panoramic of the medina. Well located, spotless and secure ... Breakfast was amazing. But the best thing were the staff - welcoming, helpful and professional (every single one of them) ... Could not do enough to make my stay perfect and memorable ... Truly makes this a 5 star establishment ...

For 30 euro a night you think you are staying in a hostel but it is actually a hotel. The breakfast is awesome, the character of the building is excellent and it is a really cheap way to see Tangier. Close to the beach. Air Conditioning would be nice it does get a bit hot
