I spent 4 nights in this Hostel and was my third time in Morocco, for sure is the best Hostel where I stayed in Morocco. Well located within Fez, the building is an original Moroccan Riad whit beautiful big rooms, hot shower ( something hard to find in Morocco) Delicious breakfast, great Medina view from roof terrace. The atmosphere is very friendly and sociable, the staff, especially Ben is very helpful

oh wow! This hostel I think is the best one I've ever stayed. Inside there is beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful welcome with the typical moroccan tea. Our room was really big, with a fantastic double bed, a sofa and a bathroom. It was all very clean. Upstairs there is a wonderful terrace from which you can see all Fez! The breakffast was absolutely good, with a lot of thing to eat. And, if you want, they can cook whatever you want....a real moroccan food! ( wonderful chef!).

Ben who seems to run the hostel was helpful and made a real effort to do what he could for you, but if he wasn't around, which was quite often, you're left to deal with Rita who was very rude and incredibly unhelpful. The hostel location but okay and quite easy to find/ good to get access to from the road, but a little bit noisy, a lot of which came from the music being played by Rita!

I am sorry for the poor review you posted and let me take the time to clarify what happened. We are sorry that you did not like the staff king regards Ben

It is definitely THE place where to stay in Fez. The inner patio is amazing, rooms are large, clean, cosy and comfortable. A sunny terrace on the top lets you enjoy a wonderful view over the Medina among singing birds and muezzin's calls to prayer, while the smell of mint tea comes up from above where a rich and delicious breakfast is served. Yet, what makes Dar Lalla Kenza a great place is its great staff: unforgettable and friendly people, always ready to help you and so incredibly welcoming.

Room and facilities super comfortable and extremely beautiful. Recommended guide was terrible, he lied about the history of the area and we felt like he was more interested in taking us to his mates shops to suck us dry instead of showing us the sites and the wonderful city that is Fez. Careful about the change from Euro to Dirham as they didn't take Euro and the exchange was made quite confusing. Overall a great place to stay with a fantastic atmosphere and great view from the rooftop.

It's a great hostel on a perfect location. The breakfast is included & was each time lovely. Ben (staff) really helps you with every possible question you might have. The view from the rooftop is also very nice!

I had a fantastic long weekend in this hostel. The famous Ben and his sister Rita offer their warm hospitality in this beautiful old building. The roof terrace offers incredible views across Fez and into the mountains and the location of the hostel couldn't be better- minutes from Place R'cif. The directions will be clear when you arrive and the hostel is clearly signed from the main road (remember, right then left- going in or out of the hostel!) Thanks for a great weekend, Ben :)

Beautiful, clean place... Guide provided by hostel was awesome just amazing.... There is no complain expect by being bullied together with other guest by young host in he's twenties called Ben. He was talking bad about other guests and especially talking bad things about women... That is probably sad part of machismo in Morocco or something.... Everything else was awesome... Maybe when the host grow up a bit and try to have more respect for hes guests this will be best hostel in town!!!!

This hostel was very nice and welcoming. The directions given were easy to follow. The common room was a nice place to hang out and get away from the bustle of the city. The owner was really nice and helpful. The breakfast and the tea were delicious. I really liked the rooftop terrace.

No other choice in Fez. Free breakfast, fast wifi, nice people, great location. I mean it`s the best for budget travelers. Ben at the reception is a really nice guy tells you what to see and where to go in Morocco. I would love to come back to the hostel someday in the future. Kent from Japan

Best hostel I've ever booked! Such a relaxed and welcoming environment and so well-located. Breakfast was amazing and the dorms were large and clean. Such a great deal for the price, and more than that, Ben went out of his way to show me around both the medina and new town fes! He's a great guy and its a great place to stay. Do yourself the favor of booking this hostel!

Not hard to find from Bab rcif . The breakfast is superb, and they offer a good dinner which can save the hassle of looking for a restaurant in the busy medina. The room and bathroom was traditional and spacious, very comfortable. The staff are knowledgable and very helpful ( go there) !!!!!
