We booked a twin room which was not provided - a lounge was converted into a bed on our request. Advice from staff was difficult to obtain. When asking for good restaurants to eat at the staff member only repeated a restaurant we had found ourselves for lunch. No other suggestions were made or in walking distance. A map was provided on arrival - however had clearly been photocopied an excessive number of times. Our hostel was marked to be in a large white space covering 3 square kilometers.

It was the best hostel I've ever stayed at! I had a huge and beautiful room with my friend, for a nice price. Ben, the owner was so cool and welcoming, that we felt really comfortable after a short time. The building of the hostel is worth a visit itself, just have a look by yourself!

This Hostel is perfect for travels to Fez. The location is perfect, close to the attractions of the Medina. The staff is absolute fantastic, friendly and easygoing, and you can meet a lot of travellers. In the morning there's a huge free breakfast, and the view from the terrace is one of the best ever seen. If i think about Fez, i remember this hostel, the great people that i met here, and all the special moments. I recomand it to everybody, it's the perfect place. Thank you Ben and Zahara

2 stops with bus from center for 3 Dh (local curency). The tour guide for the medina of Fez which was recommnded by the hostel was excellent (50dh per person). The owner was a bit indifferent but still we had a good communication. Have in mind what your reservation says about breakfast because he tries to charge it for 20 dh per person. Nice terrace. Good value for money. Not the best but still a good and cheap place to stay in Fez.

The staff at the hostel were great, Ben especially. The location is fantastic, right at the mouth of the medina without being overwhelming.

The room for two person in the ground floor is not recommended (It is the only room in that floor for two people and other rooms are on the upper floors) Otherwise, there is not enough privacy for you. You can hear all the sound from the lobby even very early in the morning. Its door and window (which looks inside) conduct all the voice to room. Hostel's design is really nice and I totally recommend it. Staff, especially; "Ben" is very helpful. Consider that it's closing around 11pm by night.

Worst experience at a hostel for a long time! don't believe other reviews on here claiming the staff are nice its a pack of lies. the two girl staff were perhaps the most arrogant unfriendly persons i had the misfortune to meet along with the guy who was equally obnoxious. They actually lock the door of the dorm from the outside so you can't get out when you want in the mornings.. What hostel does this? i actually missed my bus to chefchhoun because of this.

My sister and I spent 2 nights at this hostel. First in a dorm (standard) and then in a gorgeous private room that was decorated in authentic Moroccan style and comfort. Ben and his sister Rita, really made us feel as if we were staying in a home rather than a hostel/hotel and the simple touches of serving mint tea, access to the kitchen, etc really topped it off. The hostel gives gave off a great vibe and we were able to meet like-minded travelers who we were able to chill out with. Thank you!

I loved this place. most notably the staff were absolutely fantastic, so hilarious and friendly. Who needs to meet fellow travellers when your hosts can show you such a good time. And they really went out of their way to ensure I was getting the most out of my time in Fez. On top of that the place had a great free breakfast in the morning, wonderful rooftop terrace and sound facilities. Im sure everyone will enjoy their stay here

Dar Lalla Kenza welcomed us after a long flight and ride into the city with open arms and something nice to eat. After a good night sleep we were greated with a breakfast (traditional) and the owner Ben showed us the best places in Fez we could head out to. After travelling for a week we were welcomed the same warm way as before, definitly a recommandation!!

It had a potential to be pretty good, something was a little bit off. Still, we had fun with other guest and the owners that lived there, that made our stay very authentic and local. I didnt like the fact that they covered the courtyard to protect it from the rain which blocked the sun and made the place even colder. Good view from the terrace. Overall not too bad.
