We stayed in Dar Salam for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and it was fine. It was easy to find using the directions from the hostel, although not many of the taxi drivers have heard of it, and a short walk to the main square. The rooms are cool and well furnished, although the pillows were like rocks. Nice bathroom and hot water , and a yummy breakfast awaits you in the morning. There is also a roof terrace which is nice with views over the city. Not very quiet but the family are friendly

We stayed for 3 nights at Dar Salam and had a decent experience. Warning for non-french and non-arabic speakers: the staff do not speak english (or spanish) very well. Saba (I think this is the name of the owner) was very kind but not very helpful, I think due to the language barrier. She was not very informative on where to go out, what to see, where to eat, how to get there, etc. Otherwise, the room was nice, the breakfast was good, and the facilities worked well.

Very familiar and cosy. Really felt like an oasis when we returned from the Medina . the staff was very thoughtful and the breakfast was good. Very good value for money.

The owner is very friendly and helpful (by far the best we met in Morocco). We had two rooms that just were built on the roof with a nice terrace, although chilly without the heater switched on. About 20 min from the central square and 10 from the main souks through varied Medina area. At one of the main streets. This is noisy during the day, but didn't affect our sleep during the night. You clearly hear the call for prayers and the roosters in the early morning, but that adds to the atmosphere

When we arrived we were sent to another riad, near Dar Salam, because it was overbooked. The atmosphere was fascinating and very typical, but not fully supported by appropriate services; for example, we had to pay for a heater (there was no heating system) and for a used Marrakech map indeed. We are not unsatisfied but probably there would have been better places to stay, at the same price.
