This was an amazing hostel, absolutely beautiful, safe, practical. The staff is wonderful, Kareem and Chakim are so helpful and nice people. We had so much fun with them!! The breakfast is delicious. The people at the hostel are so willing to help take you around the medina and show you things you wouldn't see otherwise. I would definitely go back here and would recommend this place to my friends. Love Camel Team!!! Thanks Kareem!!

We had a really bad experience in this hostel. We had our reservation, but when we arrived our room wasn’t prepared. The blankets weren’t clean and the toilet was wet and full of used towels, as if they hadn’t cleaned the room after the former guests left. The staff was really rude, even agressive when we insisted to do the check-in properly they didn’t want to show us our reservation, nor take our passports nor take any register and they shouted at us when we expressed our doubts.

Difficult to find, but nice location. Good interior. Not sure if the blankets and sheets were cleaned from the previous person. Rooms were not ready when we arrived 11PM at night. One staff member is very lazy, a bit arrogant and not hospitable. Twin room had no doors to toilet/shower. One of us had to leave when sitting on the toilet. Hot water lasts ~5 minutes. This staff claims that he is your family/friend, but hard to trust him from his facial expressions and body gestures.

The hostel is located in a very good point of the Medina and the city in general. We enjoyed Karim and all the staff. We suggest this place for brief holidays in Fez.

The beds were not good The hostels name is nowhere indicated: not at the entrance of the (narrow) street, not at the door of the hostel. When we arrived: one of the staff tried to make us change our travel programme and insisted that we would take a tour with one of his friends/family members. We didn't, afterwards he didn't bother us with that anymore. One day there was no hot water,, he apologized for that. Hostel isn't luxury at all, but price/quality is ok.

Great owners, gave us a wonderful tour of Fez and showed us all the important sights. Very hospitable, welcoming us with traditional tea, and even giving us honey and lemon tea for our sore throats! We were able to use the internet at the hostel too. Great stay.

An intimate traditional riad in an ideal medina location, safe, clean, attractive, with an attentive multi-lingual staff. Karim in particular took excellent care of me (solo female traveler), taught me how to make a delicious tagine, went with me to the bank to retrieve a lost cash card, escorted me to the hammam, always with a smile. Very highly recommended.

This place is hard to find without help, but the location is perfect, an authentic riad in the hearth of Medina. The stuff is kind and the breakfast good. Shared spaces are enjoyable and so most of the rooms, apart the twin private, which is very small and has not door separating bathroom from beds. We lived a nice time here so i can recommend this hostel.

A beautiful Moroccan oasis! Hard to find the first time, but after that its in a great location in the medina. Very clean, with super hot showers. I was looked after very well by the staff- delicious breakfast in the morning and Chakib and Karim were very helpful about what to do in Fes. I definitely recommend the city tour to get an insight into real Fes life and to see all the sights, and if you're interested in shopping, he will take you to the genuine places and help to get you a good price!

We had a great time at Dar Warda and want to say thank you to Karim and his brother for the beautiful stay we spent in their house. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful over 300 years old riad and the atmosphere is amazing.

This hostel was hard to find as others said, but if you toss a local a few coins they will help you to the right place. Nice riad, good location, helpful staff. That being said, one of the sons will offer to take you on a tour of Fes which I would definitely reccomend BUT ask him not to take you to any of his friends carpet shops and offer to pay a little over the 100 DH.Also, we arrived early in the morning and the staff assumed we weren't coming and gave our room away. MAJOR NEGATIVE POINTS.

The owners are never there, and if they are, they`re high or sleeping, there is no WiFi, and no signs to lead you to the hostel If you have a choice, stay clear of it

Dar Wada is a nice and traditional house in the upper part of the Medina. Finding the place is nearly impossible without help but once there you have nice rooms and a rooftop terrace. The breakfast is very tasty (unfortunately not before 9.30 am). Value for the money is really okay but pay attention on the excursions. They are much more expensive than in all other hostels/agencies and f.ex. the city guide leads you after some sights into many factories. Disappointing. Rest of staff is nice.

Very friendly staff and helpful! The hostel is in a great location. Make sure to ask the staff what to do and where to go so they can help you get the most out of Fez. The hostel is gorgeous and very warm with excellent amenities. Great breakfast, tea and coffee. The staff was fun and they really showed us a good time. Stay here if you want to enjoy Fez!

We arrived at the riad and the only one to greet us and allow us entrance was another couple staying there. The caretaker came about 1/2 hour later never checked us in. The riad is owned by an absentee landlord who lives in France and things are run very loosely, to understate. You have to ask for everything you need, and while the caretaker is quite sweet and accommodating, it was not a good experience or a place I would ever hope to encounter again.

A dark and dank cave. Abdul (one of the brothers 'running' the place) will no doubt conscript you into his city tour which does unveil some interesting aspects of Fezian life but is really nothing more than a thinly disguised mask allowing Abdul to to take you to shops where he barters on his behalf for you - making sure you get a bunch of junk and he gets a top commission. really put a sour experience on the place. Would avoid in the future. Also, bathroom is a little frightening.

Pros: Located on edge of medina, very quiet, clean, on arrival we told them we were hungry and they offered us bread and fruit from their own kitchen, upgraded our room at no cost, cute room with nice bathroom, great terrace. Cons: Conversion rate on bill from euros to dirhams was 11.5 (actual) 11.1. Warned by other guests against hostel offered tour due to number of shops stopped in and some haggling over tour price.  There is some Moroccan culture in the hostel management, so watch your money

Owner Comment (Show)
Sorry Kevin, the conversion rate is 11.1 = euros for dirhams and 11.5 dirhams for euros. And it's true that marrocan people win money with tourists but when you do the visits, you can say no if they want to sell you some souvenirs .. and i think, if they give you food, fruits for free, it's a little hard to give 2 to the staff. DENIS ( the owner ) best regards

The house is very nice.. very good location, clean, warm, with hot water. You can let them pick you up at the airport becuase is not so easy to find the first time and the price is good but DON'T DO ANY TOUR or ESCURSION with them!!! They are more expensive than official guide for the medina tour and they don't show you any monument but just shops and if you want to go to the the Cedar Forest or Sefru and Ifrane they are more expensive than the travel agency near Bab Boujloud!!
