Clean, orderly but very quiet - not a lot of people around and not much buzz. Nevertheless I had a lovely time.

Positive: conditioned air and fridge in the room, free pool. Negative: no lockers in the room, no free wi-fi. Rooms and common areas are clean

Booked a family room with a few friends for the long weekend. Was a nice big room, clean bathroom & comfy mattresses. The hostel was nice and quiet and the staff were helpful. Only downfall was the aircon didn't work too well, there is a fan though.

Very expensive hostel for what you get. Although Darwin as a whole is very expensive. Rooms are very clean and come with en suite. Kitchen was fairly small but wasn't an issue. Would have been nice to have more places to eat dinner as there were only two picnic tables. Good location, nice and quiet but close enough to the night life. Staff weren't always the friendliest and often seemed pretty miserable.

Very clean and comfortable hostel. 6 bed dorms are like 3 bunk beds in one hotel room with a toilet/shower. Wish there was hand soap in the toilets, kind of gross that they don't offer that basic amenity. It's nice that they have a mini fridge in the rooms. Beds are comfortable, although the pillows feel like a sack of cotton balls. I feel like the guy at the front desk genuinely hates his life- although he is semi-helpful and semi-nice just not very pleasent.

WWe were there for two nights only. Slept in mixed dorms for 6 people. Rooms were quite clean, except for the toilets which were a little bit dirty. Nice pool and place to hang around it. It lies on the main street where most of the pubs are, but is still a few minutes of walking away so it is peaceful.

Great staff, good bar next to the hostel (kind of a gambling pub) & the wifi worked very well. En suit dorms are very welcome! Would stay again.

6 male dorm. one guy stayed there probably for months - against the house rules - and made a mess of the dorm. Also did he make a lot of noise at 2, 3 or 4 am, putting the lights on, eating from the fridge, meatballs, pasta, books, clothes everywhere on the floor. When I told one members of the staff about the situation, he did not take me seriously. Well it was not my problem anymore - i was checking out - but a problem for the other males in the dorm, and for yha Darwin. Compliments for Eddy!

Thankfully the hostel was far enough from the noisy bars to be able to sleep. The rooms were good and had good a/c. The facilities are also top notch.

Wonderful hostel in Darwin! It seemed to be the only place without a party atmosphere, but still had a great location. Staff were very frindly and helpful. Thank you!!

Staff were great. Would be better if there was some hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels and clothes. But otherwise facilities were good.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm room. The dorm was very cramped and there weren't any lockers. The bathroom was very small and dirty and consisted of one toilet and shower (in a 6 bed dorm room!). Due to the dorm being so cramped, there wasn't sufficient room to put luggage and therefore the rooms were very untidy.

This hostel is an amazing place that you can relax quietly. The pool is great but the place is a bit small. Staff are very helpfull! I stayed only 1 day in a 6 female dorm, and the place was big enought, maybe a locker should have been great in the room, or more space to tidy up clothes. Bathroom and toilets in the room are clean. Good location from the center, and the place is quiet at night. Shuttle to the airport, bed confortable. No free breakfast but kitchen clean!

Staff were a bit odd, sometimes welcoming sometimes not. Pretty boring hostel And very hard to meet people. Good if u want a quieter stay and are looking for work. I wouldnt recomend if travelling on your own and wanting to make friends. Also my room mates never locked the door and it was always left open!

this hostel was great if you wanted to meet people and make friends as it has communal seating areas including a massive bbq, a pool and a tv room. although people liked to party here ,it wasn't a party hostel per sae. the rooms were good and pretty clean. the kitchen is small but has everything you need and the bbq area has some hobs too. staff were great and although the hostel has its rules, they aren't there to restricts the backpacker. i would stay here again for sure and even recommend it!

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. With the hostel being so close to the heart of the city it was very handy. I enjoyed my short stay and would recommend the Darwin YHA to anyone who likes the atmosphere of a hostel.

A few nice staff members that were very helpful. Overall I liked the place. They cleaned rooms each day. Internet was down while there. You need to pay for Internet in hostels in Darwin anyway.

I usually enjoying stay at yha hostels but this was a big let down. I was sharing a room with a functioning alcoholic who was getting wasted every night spilling food everywhere and leaving the door unlocked when going to sleep and leaving the room. The room and shower were dirty. Shower door was broken. The lounge and dining room where unpleasant (poor furniture, set up, decor) lacking atmosphere. Wifi was down for 2/3 days and I was refused a refund. Friendly staff. Comfy beds.
