Giovanna who runs the hostel is fantastic! Knows every guest by name and is passionate about Florence. The guy who overlooks the hostel at night however is not great at all. Had trouble checking me in and let in a guy who wasn't even staying in the hostel into my all female dorm at 5am. Location is perfect though, 10 minutes from the train station, close to all the sights and a duomo view from the back room!

This is the best hostel I stayed while I took a trip through Italy. Nadia is the owner and the best host anyone can ask for. She is so friendly and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. The beds are very comfortable and everyone is very respectful if you want to sleep. There is also an extra room with TV and a computer in every room. The wifi is excellent! The only downside is that the kitchen is not very good, but Nadia said she is working to improve it!

Good place to stay. Nice, clean, comfortable beds and very friendly staff. The owner is very helpful and knows the city and surrounding areas well. Location is also great, close to the statue of David and Duomo.

Sharing one very small shower between two dorm rooms was not what we were expecting. The shower room was very dirty with an unwashed bath mat & the shower door glass was smashed. Overall, the bathroom left a sour note on an otherwise average stay for the expectation was had of hostel accommodation.

The kitchen is a small room with a table the size to only hold a small microwave and 1 placemat directly in front of the microwave door, and a very lightweight chair facing that to sit in. There is a sink. No garbage, fridge, or vending machine. No common area. No lock on a community bathroom or on dorm rooms. No side-rails on top bunks. Lockers are at the end of the main hallway and are too small to hold the contents of a small suitcase even.

The receptionist was too busy to talking other guests. I couldn't check in for half hour since I arrived the hostel. It wasn't ready fmaking beds, it was 3pm. It was so dusty the floor. When I had shower, it was warm enough but water stuck all the time. I will not go back to stay the hostel again. But I should say the location is excellent!!

Signora has never done this before and has no idea what she is doing. She is INCREDIBLY LOUD (don't try to nap), there is only 1 shower for 20+, the common room was THROUGH our bdrm, despite the description there is no kitchen, she overbooks & even tho I paid for a 4bdrm it became an 8bdrm wo notice (no refund), she touches & moves your stuff, night guy is incompetent / always asleep (even tho he has to let you in), the lockers are small & in the hallway (will have to leave your stuff out)

The lady who runs the hostel is lovely, even made an effort to remember guest's names. Hostel is an apartment that is being used as dorm rooms - nice bunks and towels. Bathrooms and kitchens are not great (no fridge and temperamental hot water), but fantastic location, very warm welcome and good for meeting people. Great place to stay in Florence.

I really enjoyed staying at David Inn! The manager and staff are very nice and give many tips on what to visit as well as day-trip options. The location is perfect, 5 minutes from the Duomo and one block away from the Accademia!

I absolutely LOVED David Inn. The best part is Nadia, the owner. She is lively, welcoming, accomodating and helpful. This Hostel was the cleanest bed I slept in my entire trip through Europe. Also, my room had a view of the Cathedral and it was just beautiful. The decor is clean and bright. There is a room with a TV and a computer for all to use, a small kitchen with a microwave (no stove or oven) and the beds are comfortable with fluffy blankets and pillows. It feels like a home atmosphere.

It's a fantastic hostel in a really old building. It's located next to city centre too. The owner of the hostel is a fine and kind italian woman who show me every single room of the hostel. Great work!

New management (just reopened) so old reviews are irrelevant. It is worth it to book this hostel solely to meet the adorable Italian woman who runs it. She was AMAZINGLY helpful and when we asked her for help she would go above and beyond what we asked for (i.e. making us dinner reservations, booking tours for us, etc.) Aside from the great service it is very clean, there are free towels, free lockers to put your stuff in, free WiFi, and computers. Perfect location. Wonderful experience.
