Location was hard to find, but amazing once you get there. It is in a village, so the building is a bit rustic. I imagine it would be quite loud when full of people in the high season. We lost power while i was there but it was part of the experience. Great hikes around the area. Guy at the front desk was hilarious and a lot of fun to talk with. Was a good place to hang out, play cards, and watch movies on rainy days.

Booked a double room with attached bathroom- clean comfortable and with a great view of the terraces. Local food was very good. Highly recommended

Nice hoste, great locationl!! Recomended! Very nice and helpfull staff and very clean , cosy and quiet room.

This location is stunning - it was a pleasure waking up here in the mornings! You must stay at Longsheng if you have the time! The hostels is in a fantastic location and the staff were incredibly helpful. We enjoyed many movie nights and bought some very affordable, tasty food cooked at the hostel. Be prepared however that hot water may not always be available and wooden walls mean the space is not sound proofed at all - so bring wet wipes and ear plugs!

Excellent hostel. Really helpful staff and a great atmosphere.

In spite of the great location, I would not recommend this hostel for families with young children. We stayed in a 5 bed dorm. It was decently clean, but toilet and shower were old, smelly and worn out.

super english speaking staff. very good (chinese and international) food. location is unbelievable, amazing treck through the rice terraces. poor signs to the hostel, but that made it adventurous! nice and tidy. toilet/bathroom a bit shabby and smelly but ok for one night. we loved it and would definitely go back to this hostel if we went back to the Longsheng area

We liked our stay here, with amazing views on the rice terraces. The rooms were clean, but there was a really bad smell in the bathroom. One afternoon there was no water, and one morning there was no electricity. It didn't really bother us though. We saw it as a part of the experience. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. We would definitely recommend this hostel!

View from this hostel is incredible. Totally worth the climb up to it. Also the directions provided are clear and simple. the staff speaks good english and very helpful with get to the view points around the village. They helped us tremendously when my friend was sick. Because it is made of wood you can hear walking and talking but it wasn't that bad.

Fantastic location, staff were lovely and couldn't do enough go help.

It's quite a hike up from Dazhai but totally worth it. One of the most relaxing places I've been to. The view from the hostel is amazing, the toilets (western) were clean, but the facilities are pretty basic. You also have free towels available. But like others have noted, it's made completely out of wood, so earplugs are a must if you're a light sleeper. The food was also good.

Great hostel, awesome location!

This hostel was in a prime location with a beautiful view of the rice terraces out the window. The staff was very friendly and after purchasing one cup of green tea, provided me with hot water for my tea leaves for the rest of the day. The food was also very good and they had a couple restaurants in the area. The only possible disadvantage was the climb to the hostel. If you have a heavy bag, I definitely recommend having another person carry it up (many people offer when you depart the bus).

Location is great! Amazing views! There was no water most of our stay but when your in such a small village you cant expect much, it adds to the experiance. Staff are great and very helpful with good english

The only issue was that there was no water, not even cold water. The hostel advertises "hot" water. I understand that problems arise, but we were told by the staff that there is usually no water in the town. Again, it wouldn't have been a problem if we had known to expect this. If plumbing is the issue then water should at least be brought into the rooms so that the toilets can be manually flushed. No water = no shower and stinky rooms and toilets. Other than the water issue, we enjoyed our stay

The night se arrived we saw 2 huge cockroaches in the living room and one in the room...and the bathroom was not clean at all. They also need to upgrade the building as it is almost falling down and is a shame as the place and the views are amazing.

Amazing location, basic facilities, but that's what u get In a mountain village! A well kitted out hotel would just feel weird.

Amazing location with the beautiful view of the rice field. A bit of hard climb to get to especially after a tumultuous bus ride up to the parking lot from Guilin. They have a kitchen that sells most local food around the region. There is a small local school on the first floor so it could get loud if you are trying to sleep into the noon time. very easy to get to number 1 (about 30mins) and number 2 viewpoints (about 20min). An hour and half away from number 3 viewpoint.

Beautiful location. Only thing I was not so happy about was the very small and basic toilet/shower combination.

Great Hostel to stay if you are hiking to or from Pingan from Dazhai. Because it is built all out of wood you can of course hear everything going on around you, but I personally really liked to atmosphere of the building. Could get quite cold in winter though. Bring a backback or pack lightly because the hike from Dazhai is quite a way up hill. Eldery women will carry your luggage though if you can't manage. Great staff and great atmosphere at night in the rice terraces! Great Curry!”
