No hot shower when we arrived, but a magnificient view, a great staff, very good dishes, a cozy atmosphere and the snow to welcome us. A great place to stay!
Staff very friendly, atmosphere very peaceful and view on the rice from hotel/bedroom window.definitely worth the hike up there.
Great location to get to the viewpoints in Tiantouzhai. As mentioned by others the hostel is in Tiantouzhai NOT Dazhai so 40 min uphill trek required from carpark. Dorms were clean and ensuites had plentiful hot water. Wifi was good. Meals were average and really overpriced. Shuttle service from Guilin train station works well.
Nice hostel in a great location. Some of the rooms could do with an update and also beware that not all rooms have western toilets. The hot water was also not working in my room.
Great location with amazing views. Far enough away from the touristy part of Dazhai to enjoy the peace and quiet. Ask for a room overlooking the rice fields, it really was lovely to wake up to. Bathroom was very basic and in quite poor condition with a leaking wash hand basin coming away from the wall. Ear plugs are definitely needed as it is a timber built property with no sounds insulation. Although there is Wifi, there is no communal computer, so booking onwards flights etc. was difficult.

Great Place to stay. The shower leaked constantly so the bathroom floor was always wet, but other than that the rooms are big and kept tidy. Beds are comfy and the area is amazing.
My girlfriend and I had a private room which was very clean and cozy. We had to kill a massive spider on the second night, but you're in the mountains so bugs should be somewhat expected. This place kind of reminded us of a log cabin you'd find in Banff or Muskoka (back in Canada), which is a good thing! The receptionist was a bit clueless and the food here was HORRENDOUS. The lounge was pretty quiet (definitely not a party hostel), but great view of the terraces and great place to escape crowds
Beautiful place! Beds were amazing! Breakfast yummy. Would come back here in a heartbeat. As per description, it is a wooden house, with a few holes and thin walls, but very manageable.
Nice place to stay! Very good view and location.
