They tried to fool us! We booked a six bed dorm ans were put in a 12 bed dorm which was cheaper than the 8 bed dorm. Got a refund only After a Diskussion, The showers were very Dirty, erveryone could Enter the Hostel via a back door and go to the Rooms, One french guy got stuck in the Elevator and was not helped instantly, but laughed at. Other guests were treated disrespectful, No rooftop Pool, Bad breakfast To extensive for the Money you Pay! Would Not go there again

I liked the tourists at south beach hostel. There were a lot of weirdos at this hostel. Everyone says "south beach hostel" and "miami international hostel" are the best. More cool college kids there and cool europeans.

Make sure staff knows who's staying on which bed. Last thing you want happening is staff allocating a bed for you only to find out someone else has previously claimed the bed. I was woken up in the middle of the night claiming i took their bed. Hostel needs better allocation and tracking system for beds vs guests.

Very good hostel, friendly staff, clean and in a great location. The only bad thing was that there were no lockers in our room (5).

The lift's light is a little too dark, I would recommend to change. Hans is awesome as manager, but the other staff seemed to be a little impatient. The Brazilian girl at the bar was very friendly. A lot of going in and out of the room, I believe that was because they were getting the rooms fixed, but still annoying.

I didn't expect a lot, when my two friends and me (3girls) checked in in that hostel right at the ocean drive miami. but we were positively surprised. They made a mistake with our booking (only 2 instead of 3 beds free in the booked dorm) so the very friendly manager put us right away in an empty female dorm. (i don't know why he didn't do that at first aswell.....) anyways, the room was clean, it was not noisy at all, the staff was friendly, i'd go there again, it's only to sleep, right??

Is in a fantastic location across the road from the beach. They offer great deals on tours in the area to key west, orlando, and the everglades. Not a party hostel which is a great plus but is surrounded by the bars and clubs of ocean drive so there is always a party close by.

The hostel is good overall. A few things have changed since the last time I stayed at Deco Walk though. The rooftop isn't being used to it's full potential any more, no more hot tub, no cheap bbq's. What happened?

The triple bunk beds that they just installed while I was staying is a huge downgrade. The location is still the best. They should mix the coed mixed dorms more. Management tries to separate single gals and guys so it's less fun than other hostels' coed mixed dorms.

The location is PERFECT! AT South Beach - that's why I stayed there! But beware: Prices are "subject to change" (meaning if they are fully booked they want more money - interesting strategy I've never seen before at accommodations) = price went up from $22 to $34 per night (!) while I was there! Rooms can be very noisy (stayed in 3 different ones) due to the bars around. AC in room 1 cannot be turned off - I slept in the draft from it. Friendly staff, very welcoming and smiling.

This is in general a good place to stay. I especially like the fact that they have free computers you can use to surf the Internet and free phones you can use to make local calls. But there are a few drawbacks though: they do not provide soap; you have to put down a deposit for a blanket; they do not repair things quickly - the TV and the bed railing were broken, when I told the staff that they were broken, they said they would ask the repairman to repair them the next day and they didn't.

I went there 2 years ago and the hostel was very fun, clean and the staff was friendly. Now the service is very poor. Checking is at 3.00pm, if you arrive early you've got to leave the bagage in the main room where everybody can touch it. I remember that they had a particular room for the bagages 2 years ago...where is it? The staff is...not professionnal. We felt like annoying them at any time and they are disorganised. Furthermore there were fleas in the bed! The location is very great.
