Attractive lobby but that classiness unfourtanetly that classyness does not extend. Quiet, pleaset, overall quite average, but definitely not worth the $40 weekend price considering its not any better than other cheaper hostels. Hot tub on roof is nice (if its working) and beach proximity.

I liked the hotel, the location was great but the worst moment was a guy in my dorm (#1)smoking pot all day long...you, guys, gotta do something with smoking detectors or ban this people from your property straightaway.

Staff were rude and uncooperative. It took 3 hours of waiting to check in! Even though we repeatedly asked and told them we were waiting. One guy had his locker broken into while he was staying in our dorm and the staff didnt care, he only became interested when the guy needed to buy a new lock. My friend was also asked to stop playing the piano in the lobby because it was too loud? This was in the middle of the day. Why have a piano if you arent allowed to play it! Would not recommend to anyone

With the exception of a very, very unfortunate mix-up with my extended reservation, my stay was excellent. 2 of the 3 front-desk clerks were very helpful and considerate, one spent a long time trying to assist me. The location is excellent, though very noisy and loud -- so do not expect too much sleep. The other people staying there were all very courteous, and the location is excellent. Overall a very good place especially for the price, but remember you will be very crowded, so prepare.

Excelent location, very nice people, clean, cheap and a very good looking hostel. A great roof with excelent view. The staff its not very helpfull as expected. Totally I will come back to the decowalk hostel. Cons: The kitchen has a "special" scheduling, the breakfast is "just fine", the jacuzzi is not always working.

I moved here from a hostel around the corner as they were fully booked, so I have to compare. Deco Walk was ok, it was quiet, good for sleeping however very little atmosphere, only met a few folk in comparison to meeting A LOT of people at the other hostel. It was also $10 more for location which wasn't worth it, other hostel only 1 street back and closer to shops. Also hostelbookers is cheaper and no booking fee - however hostebookers had no beds left on this occasion.
