Main feature of the hostel that was nice was the pool access down the road. The hostel was ok but very loud at night and the two people working the front desk overnight were young individuals who seemed to be uncomfortable approaching rowdy groups. Cleanliness of the rooms was ok... Toilet in the room I stayed was not working when I arrived and had to approach the desk on more than one occasion before the issue was rectified. Overall ok accommodation, you get what you pay for here.

Other than the benefit of having Deejai Garden and the pool, I wouldn't stay here again. Extremely noisy, the rooms have windows into the hall and you can hear everyone coming home drunk as if they're in your room. Staff was a bit snippy and rude and didn't seem to do much about the noise. Otherwise, beds are comfy and the food was good.

Had booked to stay for 2 nights at Deejai backpackers. I had sent an email to ensure that the 4 bed dorm we were booked into had air conditioning as it stated on the facilities that it did but people's reviews had stated differently. I never got an email back and on arrival I was told that all the dorm rooms booked on hostel world were all fan dorms. Staff were extremely un friendly, the room was dirty and you can find much better hostels with much better locations in beautiful Chiang Mai

Not bad, just stay away from the 1st floor, way too loud. Stay here if you want a good social experience but not so much if you're looking for a quiet night. Some roaches, but it's Thailand, so that's whatever. Liked it, but happy to go somewhere quieter after!

The main floor always smelt terrible as there was some type of backup with the toilet. Not enough lockers, I had to wait watching at checkout for one to open up so I could put my laptop somewhere safe. Met some great people in the end and the pool made everything worth while

This was my first time staying in a hostel and if i could do it again I would of choose deejai's. The staff were very helpful, food and drinks on site were cheap and it was a lovely relaxed and calm atmosphere which was very easy to meet new people :)!

A lovely pool area. A 4 bed dorm for this rate is amazing. The beds were a little uncomfortable but the bathroom was very nice. About 20 minute walk from the main bit of town, which wasn't a problem for me!

Young crowd. Mainly early to mid twenties. Some stuff members are super helpful - others are not.... A bit far to walk to the center where things happen.

I loved my stay at Deejais. It is a very sociable hostel. However, if you're not looking to party and want somewhere quiet then this is probably not the best hostel for you. The rooms are clean, however there are not always enough lockers available for everyone in the locker room. It's in the main square so everything is close by.

Not a fantastic place. The rooms weren't great, and the whole place wasn't fantastic, but it was inexpensive and had a good atmosphere downstairs.

I loved it there! Mostly because they have two Big areas Where you Can hang out, which makes it really easy to meet other travellers. The atmosphere was really good and cozy!

Dirty, went to my room and my bed was dirty so asked for it to be cleaned and all they did was fluff the pillow and fold the blanket. Stains and dirt still there. Told them and had to search for my own clean linen and make the bed. Showers leaking and flooding. Filthy dirty. Plugs very rarely worked IF you're lucky enough to get one!

They have the most incredible swimming pool. Best value for money hostel I have stayed in

Worth staying here just for the pool and the atmosphere.

The hostel is fun full of Western travelers. Nice pool and easy to meet for party. They don't have lockers in the room and the ones downstairs were all taken. Definitely recommend to party groups but probably not so good for people looking for a quit place to relax.

This place is great I stayed longer than planed because of the people you meet and the atmosphere, they have a pool and the rooms are always clean I would only come back to deejais every time I come to Chiang mai

Nice hostel, basic rooms, nothing fancy. Just a few bunk beds and a bath room. Could be cleaner. Atmosphere is great though, and they have this extra place called Deejai Garden, which is lovely! They have a swimming pool and the vibe is lovely. Location is quite far from the center, but tuktuks are everywhere. Would recommend this hostel for sure!

Top spot in CM for backpackers who wanna meet people. Pool facility seals the deal. Fan dorm had one small floor fan that was loud and didn't move.

66%

One fan in a small non ventilated room is not enough for four people, as well as the bathroom had no ventilation at all so it smelt. That was the main downfall. Everything else was pretty average. Good if you only need to stay one night, if you plan to staying longer make sure you get air con.

The rooms are very average and there is a big difference in quality between some rooms of the same price. The common area is nice, food is good, staff are lovely. The best part is staying here gives you free access to the pool area down the road that also has hammocks, a garden and a bar, great place to chill out.
