wifi was pretty bad. pretty noisey. let's of people coming in and out. pool was a nice bonus. but I would not stay here again. some rooms don't have air con and are terribly hot.

Annoyed because they claimed we booked a "fan only" room when we had specifically booked AC..but they moved us into an AC room for the following few nights. Good vibe, lots of people in there and makes a good atmosphere. Pool is sweet and the Friday all you can eat party for 100 baht is well worth it.

This is a petty avreg hostel abit of from every thing but still whit in walking distans Staff is typicall thai workers minimum wage don't carre so much about anything What makes this place grate is the pool and garden located 300 away from the hostel good staff Chill plase that makes this hostel to one off the best ones in the area

Room very hot and fan very loud, the windows didn't shut fully and we got eaten alive by insects. The pool is a great addition, even is staff there are a little in friendly. The location isn't too far out, but I'm sure there must be better hostels in Chiang Mai for a similar price. Fine, but wouldn't recommend.

We had a fan that didn't work and the rooms were not that clean. Was okay for one night but not my favorite hostel. Good atmosphere meeting people.

Main thing that bugged me was that you could easily break into any room. Also, we had a fan room with no air con and our fan didn't even rotate so it was super hot at night. Love the pool and the food at the hostel is super good and cheap.

The hostel has nice rooms and the common area in the hostel is really friendly. The separate pool and restaurant area is also brilliant. What kills the hostel is the staff. The receptionm staff are unfriendly and uncommunicative. The western owner was friendly over breakfast but is really quite rude to people at night'. I know he has angry neighbours that moan about noise, but there are better ways to put it.

Very loud Hostel. Only time with no noise from other people was between 4-8 am. Security is poor also, because there are not enough lockers for all people and it could easily be broken in into the room trough the windows, because it was not possible to close them fully. It wasn't clean too, the towel I got had blood stains and other dirt on it. So I had to change it. The bed was dirty too, with some lip stick and other stains. Only to recommend for young backpackers who want to party.

Stayed here with 2 friends in a 4 bed mixed dorm. Room was dark, broken sink, fan no aircon so it was unbearably hot! Location also wasn't great, about a 10/15 minute tuk tuk to the night market. Very sociable hotel though, everyone friendly and the laundry service was good! Pool down the road but good value food and good atmosphere! Just don't stay here if you want to sleep, banging doors and shouting till early hours. Think there are better options in Chiang Mai but not the worst

Great social scene and the perfect place to start your trip and meet new people!

Rooms are fine, bathrooms aren't very clean. Good social space, but the cafe food isn't great (there were ants in my fruit one morning). Staff weren't as helpful as other hostels I've tried in Chiang Mai. Not a bad place, but I don't really reccommend it either.

Good neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff, very nice atmosphere that you can meet many travelers in the lobby and in the garden/pool area.

They did not specify that the room would have no aircon. In the Thai summer this was horrible. The room was hot with the sun all day and at night it was hotter inside than out. Was 40 degrees in the room with only 2 tiny fans. The staff were very unfriendly. the toilet door was see through so people in the room could see you showering. The door also had slats so you could hear and smell everything from the toilet. Moved to a room with aircon and it smelt like mould. Dark and dingy.

Nice hostel with a communal area as you enter, the rooms are pretty basic and the wifi doesn't stretch that far, but it is good value for money considering this.

Great hostel. I stayed there during Songkran and it was the most incredible atmosphere. The people were super friendly, hilarious, awesome. The staff was always nice and helpful. Everyone hangs out downstairs and talks and goes out together. They have a pool a few doors down which is cool. The facilities are good and the price is not too expensive.

Good : pool area very nice, staff very nice and helpfull Bad : dirty bathrooms with cockroachs, lack of daylight in bedrooms, get noisy during the night cause of drunk people hanging out in front of the rooms.

Absolutely no security here. First day girl broke in through our window who wasn't suppose to be in our room. The windows have 0 security, most windows are broken so anyone can easily crawl in as she did. Most all windows don't even close or lock. Way too many mosquitoes here, they don't even do anything to control them.

Main feature of the hostel that was nice was the pool access down the road. The hostel was ok but very loud at night and the two people working the front desk overnight were young individuals who seemed to be uncomfortable approaching rowdy groups. Cleanliness of the rooms was ok... Toilet in the room I stayed was not working when I arrived and had to approach the desk on more than one occasion before the issue was rectified. Overall ok accommodation, you get what you pay for here.

Other than the benefit of having Deejai Garden and the pool, I wouldn't stay here again. Extremely noisy, the rooms have windows into the hall and you can hear everyone coming home drunk as if they're in your room. Staff was a bit snippy and rude and didn't seem to do much about the noise. Otherwise, beds are comfy and the food was good.

Had booked to stay for 2 nights at Deejai backpackers. I had sent an email to ensure that the 4 bed dorm we were booked into had air conditioning as it stated on the facilities that it did but people's reviews had stated differently. I never got an email back and on arrival I was told that all the dorm rooms booked on hostel world were all fan dorms. Staff were extremely un friendly, the room was dirty and you can find much better hostels with much better locations in beautiful Chiang Mai
