Don't book this hostel when i arrived to check in the place was empty their was know one around all day i waited i had to find another hostel to stay in that night
BED BUGS!!! There is rarely staff, so plan to check yourself in. The sheets are in the cupboards under the stairs. There are no locks or security, but Dahab is very safe. The staff are nice, but they don't do much. The manager is useless. And was very unapologetic about the bed bugs. I actually ended up cleaning the room myself and airing out the mattress on the roof. But it's $3 a night. If it weren't for the bed bugs I would have loved it.
Me and a friend stayed at the hostel and did our Open water and advanced scuba certificates. The courses were great, highly recommended and a great price. The hostel itself is nothing special, does the job, but we had a really good time while we were there.
what security the room doesn't have a key, the entrance door u can crawl under. the bedrooms are probably the best thing about this place, basic, soft, dusty & there is a small fan stuck to the roof. Shower is shared with the not to flushable toliet, very rusty & grimy. kitchen is a dirty room with a small portable gas stove sitting on a table, dishes done in bathroom. Prepare 2 share the lounge with stray cats. no working fridge. but there r lockers. this is exactly what u pay 4 BELOW BASIC!
A nice and cheap Place to stay and to dive
