The only good things about this place are the price and location. Otherwise it is a bit of a dive, worth staying if you're just transiting Beijing or looking for somewhere to crash. The area around the hostel is really nice though, and staff are alright.

Staff was unhelpful, refused to call taxi when I arrived late at night with a child. No window in the room, noisy, dirty. Health and safity hazards- electric socket under the shower and airconditioner is leaking directly into the electric socket on the wall. Smelly room, there is no way of getting air in as there is no window and people smoke in corridors. Far away from main attractions, however only 5 min walk from the lake. Have to walk from the road. Very difficult to get taxies.Farfrom metro

I enjoyed my fivenight stay. Deja Vu has just been renovated. Close to subway. The only \"problem\" was the shower. The floor is flat which means that the water does not disappear. Besides that just enjoy. Silent, safe, nice englishspeaking staff eager to help you. Nice and cheap restaurants around the corner.

Good vibe, good kicks, location was key, right in the Hutong, and close to the Hutong shopping area. Next door has a brilliant Yunnan resteraunt.
