Great place to stay. Made us feel welcome and the couple that manage the place are really helpful, even organising tours for us at last minute or giving us a lift to places if they are heading that way. We had some old motorbikes with us and the staff helped us look jump start them in the mornings! This place has plans: a pool is being built and the WiFi being improved.

Stayed at Demani for 5 days, and really enjoyed it. Nicest staff ever, really helpful and serviceminded. Cute little bungalows with fan, mosqito net and charming sandy floor. Okay facilities with clean toilet and shower. Breakfast included, fresh fruit and eggs the way you want them. The restaurant very nice and cozy, good food! And the staff got a great taste in music as well:) 5 minutes walk to the beach, not far from kite centers, restaurants and pubs. I couldn't ask for more, all pleased !

This is heaven! When I arrived at Demani Lodge I was plesantly surprised! The surroundings are really nice with green plants and small pathways for gettings around to the different accommodations - It looked like paradise! The doorm were always clean and nice, and a good night sleep! I ended up staying the entire week at Demani Lodge, and I am definitely going back! The manager Linn, and the rest of the staff is amazingly kind and helpfull! Go here if you want a great backpacker stay!

We stayed for 5 days in the 12 man dorm. Demani has a real friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You will feel totally at home there and all of the staff were amazing. I really recommend it to any body travelling.

Lovely Demani Lodge! Relaxed, friendly, great parties and a cozy lodging. A true gem! We're so happy we found this place for our stay in Zanzibar, you made our holiday into a dream vacation! Never before have we found a place to stay that you really STAYED at. Hanging out during the day, meeting loads of new, great people and just enjoyed every moment of the hour. Great food, the staff was social and really helpful. We never wanted to leave and truly hope to be back one day! Thank you!

Had a great stay at Demani Lodge, the place has a great atmosphere, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is place really gives good value for the money, the service is far better here than the more expensive hotels and resorts around the area. The place is clean, the food is amazing and location is good. Only a 5 min walk to the beach. Thank you Linn and Isa for a great stay!

Lin was an incredible hostess and even drove us to a cooking class that we signed up for in the area. She ensured that we felt safe, at home, and had our needs met. She's also incredibly kind, funny and a sweetheart! Can't say enough good things about our stay here - everyone from bar staff to cleaning staff were so kind.
