I had some items from my suitcase come up missing so my lesson learned is don't leave anything valuable unattended with a room that has roomates. I knew to keep my wallet and phone with me at all times but that wasn't enough. Next time I will have to get a padlocked suitcase or stay elsewhere.

staff were great. very friendly and helpful. warm welcome. very old run down building with horrible beds and dirty rooms. holes in walls, mouse traps in the kitchen. my room was warm but the whole building was a bit cold. antique tv and VHS to use. yuk bathrooms. my room only had permanent guests. so there was clothes and stuff everywhere. very strange and not a great stay.with some upgrade and renovation this could be a 5 star hostel. perfect building to start to create it. great location tho.

The location is perfect if you need access to busses or downtown. There wasn't much hot water to the 3rd floor dorms for a shower. You had to play with the shower and have it in a perfect spot to have warm water. Met some interesting people there.

the radiator wasnt working in december .event though they tried to fix it it was freezing . i slept with all my clothes and shivered all night.internet signal strength is below par and you dont get net. however dick is a nice guy who helps as much as possible .But that building is way too old.

This place was DODGY. There were permanent residents living in my room who were old and grumpy, and mostly just smoked weed in the kitchen. There was one shower in the building that I could find and it llooked like a prop from a horror film. Definetely nothing "youth" about this hostel. I would NOT recommend this to anyone unless you had nowhere else to go.
