Great location, walking distance of everywhere we needed to go. Very helpful and friendly staff and the hostel had very cool decorations. Only complaint is security could have been a bit better, but it wasn't terrible. Overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Really just a place to sleep. The building seems like and old house. The dorms don't have lockers and sometimes the hostel gets unattended, which is not good in case you need to ask something to someone in the staff. Free breakfast, but u need to wash your own dishes. Good beds but the toilets and showers could be cleaner. Sometimes didn't have toilet papers in it. Just one computer but free wifi in the entire bulding. Average hostel, but great location. Recomended for a couple of nights only.

It is a very lovely hostel. All the rooms are beautifully decorated. There is a very cute white cat in the common room! The toilets and shower are shared by both males and females but they are very clean. The staff are very helpful and nice. They gave lots of information about travelling around this city. The breakfast is great but the kitchen is a bit small. The common rooms are really great places and free internet is provided there.

Very beatnikish. I love finding these kind of hostels. The owners are well travailed and know about staying hostels. We found Derry City Independent a great place to stay.

bunk beds were nice. staff is friendly. free simple breakfast. free wifi but you have no tables or chairs to properly set up a laptop or eat. computer available with free internet so that was nice. bathrooms are co-ed and also mixed in with showers. it was rather awkward having to use the toilet next to someone of the opposite gender.also it was gross showering when someone was going #2 in the stall next to me. :/ rather close to the bus stop and Free Derry museum. nice for 1-2 nights.
