What can we say? We got to this place and were 'charmed' by the owner who's name we were fortunate enough not to get. He plied us with 'sweet funny' stories and gave us tea and chapatis all in the name of 'love' and 'generosity'. However, all this was a ruse to try and get us to pay an extortionate amount for the camel safari. 8000 rupees for what we eventually paid 1500 for. The guy is a con man and we found out has been in prison. AVOID! DO NOT BE SUCKED IN by his fake charm!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, this guesthouse is actually called Hotel Peacock (hence why Hotel Anna isn't on tripadvisor etc) which sounded alarm bells straight away Despite that our room (top floor) was a decent size and relatively clean (for India!) and good for the price range. We did our camel safari through the hotel which was great. We did one night and there was us two plus one more couple plus our two guides who were great. The itenarary wasn't quite as described to us by 'Anna' (a guy) but was still good

Desert Anna Safari is a great place for travellers. Hospitality, friendliness and cleanliness are only a few of the advantages of the hostel. In short, good value for money!!!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Desert Anna Safari. The hostel was very clean, the staff were very friendly and it was in a good location. They helped my stay in India be a very comfortable and enjoyable one.
