We were greeted by Mr. Badry khozam, very kind and helpful. We wanted to spend two days at camp in the desert, ride a camel and Mr. Badry khozam arranged everything with a fair price. We took the bus into the Dog Oasis Dakla not speak arabic and how Mr. Badry came to call the bus driver to tell where we would stop. Provided also welcome anyone in town. It was great. Thank you Mr. Badry.

The very friendly family running this accomodation whith a beautiful and relaxing garden will make you feel at home!

Excellent staff, very familiar and helpful. Great environment in the hotel with a beautiful garden. Quiet and in the same time in a very convenient location to go around the city and experience the place.

We stayed there one night and booked a over-night tour to the desert. It was very good and the service was excellent, we were taken care of like friends or family. Thank you for the nice experience!

very friendly hotel, we also booked the trip to the white dessert, which was great

They are very friendly and helpful, but only if they think they can take money from you. If you do not have much money the service is quite poor

I understand why they call it Home not a Hotel you are treated as one of the family. Food is fantastic. Large air-con clean rooms. Friendly staff and owner. They can organsie tours of the White Desert much cheaper than other tour groups. 4WD cars are clean and in tip top condition not like others I have seen Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of my journey through Egypt. Have already recommended this hotel to others and they have the same opinion as me.

You are a bit captive of the host... A jeep waits for you when you go down the bus and take you directly to the hotel. Then, the owner makes everything to keep you in the hotel so that he is sure that you'll eat there... His food is not very good

I loved the service and friendliness of this hostel. They provided a true atmosphere of fun and relaxation in the desert. They were knowledgeable and sensitive to the our desires and provided just what we wanted at a reasonable cost.

Really nice. Nice outside seating area. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Can also arrange tours to Bahariya Oasis and Western Desert at very reasonable prices.

Great place to visit if you plan on doing a desert Safari otherwise there is not much to do in the town. The staff were attentive and provided delicious cheap meals. The staff really care about your expereience and set us up with their own experienced guides. Desert Tour was amazing and very reasonably priced. Recommend a room with air conditioning. We would definitely stay there again.

Best Price quality. Owner Mohamed is very friendly and willing to help arranging cheap trips and prepares very decent meals (a lot for almost nothing)

good place to stay, boss speaks good english thus easy getting around. Fair pricing. Good service with bus tickets & transportation. Food is excellent, if you like north african fare. I will clearly recommend this place. Carl Mery

An excellent place to stay... Badry is really helpful. Everyone met there seem to be happy to be there

Nice room, friendly people, but bed on bricks, so very hard. Room was not ready, owner offered tea and charge afterwards (4 EP per person = double a normal restaurant price). All other hotels we did sleep offered free tea at arrival. Nearby restaurant is better, more and cheaper (20 EP p.p., good quality) then eating here (25 EP p.p., not bad but average quality). If i pass this town again, i try another hotel. Sorry.

Very good hostel, good lunch and dinner!

the owner is extremely helpful and straightforward. rooms were clean and comfortable and lovely shady garden. highly recommend for good advice and prices

When I leave I must chek the price. They don´z know the exavt price from hostelworld.

This is a lovely place, individual bungalows set around a beautiful courtyard. The place is clean and bathrooms good. Desert safari can be arranged by the hostel and is well worth it. The only downside is the location, about 2km from the centre of town (not 600m as lonely planet says) this together with the fact that the hostel plays on this with drinks and food in the hostel being incredibly over priced as there are few alternaives close by.

My mother and I stayed here for three nights and we really loved it. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. There is a lovely garden where it is nice to just sit and take in the sun. The staff is all very friendly, and Gamal is a wonderful cook. We really enjoyed spending time with Badri. We went with him on a desert safari and that was beautiful. We also spent each night playing dominoes and visiting with Badri and that was also a lot of fun. I would recommend Desert Safari Home to anyone. We were intending to go back at the end of our trip, but weren't able to. We'll definitely go back again though because it was such a wonderful place.
