No common room, so rather anonymous.
Very nice staff and comfortable beds! The privacy curtains we a huge plus! Only downside is there is no common areas (besides the bar downstairs during open hours), to hang out in, so if you're roommates are sleeping or your neighbors are snoring you have to tough it out and stay quite in the room. Other than that, great breakfast and would stay again.
The staff was great. This facility is above a bar and next to train tracks. There are picnic tables outside in front ot the bar and patrons would be out there talking until late into the night. That and the trains, I didn't sleep very well. They had a good breakfast selection.
Felt more like a bar with a hostel attached than a hostel with a bar. Many of the bar patrons were locals. Good location, except you get some noise at night from the train tracks half a block away. I dislike the door code system. I was afraid to come back too late because they change the door codes and if no one is at the bar/reception, you are locked out. I came back after the bar closed one night and was lucky to catch an employee still cleaning up so he could give me the new codes.
Good, clean hostel. Excellent location (near the london bridge and above a pub), friendly staff (getting earplugs at 4 o'clock was no problem) and good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again. They even have a rainshower, woehoew!

Friendly people, low-key atmosphere. Appreciated the privacy curtains and reading light. Not updated but seemed clean. Would stay again.
Josh and Flavia were great and made the stay fun and friendly. Great place to stay. Thanks.
This is the best hostel in London this was my second time here and definitely not the last. if you're looking for a place to relax and not have to worry about being kept up all night this is the place, super comfortable beds great privacy with the bunk curtains all in all excellent place to stay
A quiet nice hostel with all facilities. The outside door may take you some time to open if you come late in the nigth. The pub is always empty, so don't expect much about it. I would recomend this placê for my friends.
Good idea the lockers under the beds, but it should be improved: anyone with a screwdriver can open them! But in general it is a very good place! I choose it on my arrival to the UK and choose it again for the departure!
Lovely place in a very good location (very central, only 10 min. walking to London Bridge and 20 min. to Tower Bridge), the staff was nice and breakfast (included in the price) was nicer than what you'd normally expect! The rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean but could be bigger, not that much space to leave your stuff in the room (there were some lockers under the beds but not very comfortable to use). But all in all, for a weekend trip it was a pleasant stay.
Rather small room (typical for London...), but windows can be opened - result: far less stuffy than some others. Quiet nights, since the hostel is not directly on the main street. Breakfast buffet has quite a selection. Everything clean. Computer in the room worked - very useful addition, that. Location ideal, Underground station is REALLY only 5min away, even with luggage. Only complaint: 2 loos, 2 showers and only 2 WASHBASINS for a whole floor?! Prepare for queues....! Warning: no elevator!

My favourite hostel to stay at in London. I lived outside of London for 8 months and spent most weekends in the city and have stayed at most hostels in London. But the Rose and Crown is my FAVOURITE! Fantastic location, amazing breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and the beds are dreamy. It can be a little bit nosier at night as it is a more central location, but I always found I slept better with a bit of noise. The bathrooms are the only area I would suggest improving, but overall good
Great, clean, close. Highly recommended - don't be put off by the fact that it's a pub, its quiet in the rooms n not a party hostel. Had one small problem with mixed up beds on checkin but worked out fine in the end. Stay here.
Good London accommodation. Shared bathrooms and enough of them so that we were never waiting. Rooms were large, beds comfy and clean.
Really nice place. Well located, safe, clean, confortable beds, really good breakfast and nice staff. Some important details: wifi in the room, one plug and one light for each bed, and a really nice courtain tha give you some privace. really nice place.
Had a great stay at the Rose & Crown. Wish I had more time to stay in London. The pub was great. Room was very comfortable. Staff and the dog, Mishka, were also awesome.
Lovely room, staff and breakfast. I had a great stay.

Rose and Crown is so close to the most popular attractions and the London Bridge underground station, which can get you a connection to anywhere you want to go in the city! HostelWorld states that you can check in until midnight, but it really closes at 11:30. We got there right at midnight, and the owner woke up to get us checked in and settled. He was very nice and gracious at all times. The beds were so comfortable & have their own charging station & curtain. Would definitely stay again!
