Hostel is out of the centre but very near the beach. Breakfast was very good. Check out is 10, which is early. There were queues for the showers at times
Good location, near to bus stops and very good enviorment. Safe to walk nearby at night and excellent staff.
Destino 26 is located in a for me perfect area: bars and restaurants near, and still a safe place. Busses pass frequent and only 20 mins to center. Beach is also near, which would be perfect in summer! Helpful staff, nice beds, hot shower, nice garden outside. Breakfast was good, nice that they have fruits next to the Uruguayan sweets only breakfast! Best part of the hostel is the kitchen: very well equipped and spacious! Definitely recommend this place!
Nice hostel, comfy bed, hot shower, good living room, helpful staff. One criticism is that the downstairs room next to the kitchen and showers can get loud and staff didn't ask anyone to keep it down. Also, break is basic - White bread, caramel spread, fruit, coffee (but don't let this put you off). Good location near the beach but a 20 min bus needed to get to old town (very easy and staff explain the route).
Excellent. Great vibe, good location in a safe, affluent neighbourhood by the beach. Note that in Montevideo, not much really happens in the `downtown` at night, therefore better to stay in a barrio. Staff are excellent. They make the place stand out.
Great old building, cozy common space, very friendly staff, clean bathrooms. Location is a bit off all main attractions exept the beach, so if you are staying during winter it will take you around 20 min on bus every day to get around. Supermarket, kiosks and cafes are one step away, nice thing to do in the evening - to go to the oceanside, literally three blocks away. It was a bit cold at night, but staff solved this problem fast with a thousand of blankets ;)
Lucia is the sweetest and most helpful person ever! Lovely stay over all

Super friendly and helpfull staff (Mauricio?). Spacious clean rooms, good breakfast, cozy house and a cute livingroom inviting for chilling out and feeling at home. The bedsheets are very soft and clean! When I was there was a bit of an old crowd, so dont expect a party hostel (unless its different on weekends perhaps). Location is a bit out of the city but I found it very easy to get around. Stay there for sure!

One of my favourite hostels across the world, a wonderfully homely vibe and great, comfortable beds (I was staying in the 4-bed dorm). Did I mention the common living room feels amazingly cosy too? It's a tad far from Trees Cruces bus terminal but really close to the beach and that's great. Highly recommended!
This hostel had an amazing atmosphere and was clean. There were places to hang out both inside and outside. The kitchen had great equipment and sharp knives (and for those of you who cook you know this is not very common). There were lockers outside the rooms, hot showers, and beds were good. Breakfast was good and included fresh fruit when I stayed.
Cool staff, very laid back. Good location hy the beach. Good wifi and common area. Beds were SUPER comfy. Pretty clean. Had some money stolen whilst I was there and given very little help in the way of getting it back, but not a huge complaint .
Great location and great staff. The bikes were a bit expensive but other than that the facilities were great. There were a number of small markets near by and one large market a few blocks away. Probably one of the best atmospheres that I've ever seen in a hostel, people were great and there was something happening every night. The staff were also very helpful, the airport lost our luggage and the guy working the desk that night helped us get it back.
Staff are very nice and helpful. Really close to the beach and a quick bus journey to the centre. Hostel is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Certainly would stay again.
Excellent location and the best staff. 100% recommended.
One of the better hostals: very clean, well equipped kitchen, small garden, good mattresses, great WiFi, friendly staff, all in a beautiful house. It's located about 30min walk from Tres Cruces bus terminal or take the 181 bus. It's away from many attractions but close to the Playa Pocitos.
Really nice, well located hostel with friendly, helpful staff and a laid back atmosphere but with a fairly minimalist breakfast.
Absolutely loved my stay here. Hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed at around the entire world. Staff are fantastic, place is lovely and clean- all in all I felt at home and could have stayed there for an even longer amount of time with ease. Very lovely!
What a great place. Right beside one of Montevideo's best beaches. Staff where absolutely brilliant. X
Just an excellent hostel Unfortunately in our room with very few mosquitos :( But nothing to worry about
Nice hostel! Perfect to stay few days in the city. Very helpful staff and nice common area. Kitchen was very clean and fully equipped. Ah! They have a nice garden on the back to relax and make a little bbq ;)
