There are some positive and negative aspects. As positives, there is a kitchen that you can use and cook some staff. The internet connection was good and the hostel is really well-located. But the problem is cleanliness. It is difficult to say that the hostel is really clean. I stayed for 4 nights and I didn't see anyone cleaning even once. Noone took the garbages out (both in the bathroom and in the room) for 4 days. It was really awful. They should care about the cleanliness much more..

The room was not clean (the ground). Internet didn't work. Great location near clubs. But I understand that u cannot expect too much for 9 EUR per person.

The hostel was hard to find. There is no sign on the street, if you don't know the adress, you can never find it. I had a private room that was so small, we couldnt open the door because the bed was in the way. The hooks for the shower was broken so we had to hold it with one hand to shower. The building could use a big clean (there was a bit of mold in the bathrooms) and a lot of new paint. I can be ok if you only want a bed for the night, but don't expect anything too nice.

It is a very good hostel. it is not indicated to whom wants fun, as I would indicate America del Sur one, in buenos aires. But the atmosphere is so good and is typically european. It is in Barcelona's centre and it is close of a lot of attractions. It is comfortable, clean and well-governed. There is a local heating on the room and this is a differential for the most of hostels. There is a room even for eating and studying, reading, stuff. I love the presence of a washing machine!

The stay was fine. Kitchen is nothing special, rather to warm up things than to cook.

everything about this hostel was excellent, considering the affordable price you pay. the location is on a major avenue. only con is that it's a very long walk to the metro, about 15 minutes. other than that, beds were clean and comfortable. stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm, door had no key but that was OK, luggage was totally safe. toilets were clean. wifi only available in common area as our room was too far for coverage. hostel is on 5th floor of apartment building but there's old-fashioned lift.

Nice & pleasant stay in the private room. No fancy but quiet, clean room; suitable for a night. Would really recommend for the price. I definitely will again rend

The location was pretty good, we enjoyed the walk to the center of town. The hostel is on an avenue and fun to watch from the window.

The Hostel is very nice and not too far away from downtown. Also for this price it looked actually pretty nice. Staff was very friendly and one of the only people who spoke understandable english.

Stay away from Diagonal "Home" !!!, any other place 'll be better for sure! No character at all, no fun!, and far away from the city center :( No security at all (no keys!, too small lockers (5€ !!!), anyone can come in your bedroom, ...) Staff not really helpfull, no map available, no services, ... And the worst for the end, it's impossibly DIRTY (never see them cleaning in 4 days), very cold (no heater in winter, ...) ...

Actually, do not recommend this hostel to anyone. Besides not having security (because there is no key in the rooms), rooms are dirty. Very different from most hostels in Spain.

all but one staff member...trano... were rather rude...especially the cleaner. the palce has no fun atmostphre, everyone kept to themselves and made no effort to socalise with anyone. the bathrooms were clean and the shower had great water pressure and hot water, my room was small but great and very cheap for barcelona. The hostel was on the 5th floor but had an elevator
