Not very well located, but good value for the money. Also, a bit far from the nearest Metro station.

Well I guess part of this was bad timing on our part but on arrival there was no water running on our floor and there was no wifi available because it was down. But the place was kind of gross, showers were disgusting and there was not a lot of security available. The lockers (only 3 of 6 functioning) were tiny, there was no lock on our door and we had to go to the 5th floor to the be let into the third floor where we were staying whenever we went out. But it was cheap...

This hostel is value for money. In the center of the city and accessible to every place. They have a decent kitchen, bathroom and washing machine.

NO water supply on 3rd floor, due to a previous day's water leak, meaning to use toilet and bathroom had to go up from 3rd floor to 5th floor, even during the night, this would not have been acceptable if I had been staying longer.

The location is near Av. Diagona, this neighborhood is very nice. And they also have a good kitchen too. As This hostel is a place you can steady longer, I will live this hostels again. Also, there is two bathroom, If it can ad another, it will be perfect.

long distance to the subway, needless to say to city center on foot You were not given keys to access the building nor your room, so you had to go first to 5th floor (sometimes on your foot if the old elevator`s doors hadn\'t been properly closed) and then ask for the \"friendly\" receptionist to go down with you to your floor to open the door. Rooms had no lock, anyone could enter Positive: cheap, free wi-fi

Good place for that price! Nice and clean room. Free wi-fi access, coffee and really good paella on friday! :)) friendly & helpful staff, good atmosphere :) Clean and well facilitated kitchen (but too less coffee mugs). The bathrooms should be cleaned better and disinfected (ants in one of them!).

I stayed there for 2 nights and I really like this kind of old buildings to stay. It's not too modern and I like it!It has the beautiful stairs and the lift is old and nice! The staff was really nice - we even had free paella with seafood on Friday which was great! And when I wrote the e-mail they answered really fast! The only thing which is not really good is that in my room we didn't have any door lock for the room. But all the people were nice so I didn't worry about my stuff!

We paid about £6 a night and what a bargain. To say the location is excellent is an understatement. Hostel Diagonal is sandwiched between Hugo Boss and the Rolex shop. I had the single room which was basic (bed, wardrope, chair), the bed was comfortable and was more than adequate. My friends shared a lovely double with a view of the tree lined avenue(room 31). The staff were really helpful especially when we lost our key. One -ve, the showers could do with being replaced. Will recommend.

Frankly, I was quite surprised how unclean and untidy the hostel was. The floors were covered with mud and I was suspicious whether the linen had been washed before I used it. The bathroom was unexplainable... That was the main problem. Also there are no free lockers (you have to pay 5 euros which I think is too much) and the rooms don't lock so I have to say I didn't feel that safe. The kitchen was good and the staff was friendly. The only great thing was the location.

I enjoyed my stay here, the big bonus for me being a single room to myself for a very reasonable price, rather than staying in a dorm.Located in a safe area, only 10min walk from Hospital Clinic metro stop.Kitchen had everything I needed to make my own meals, and good ratio of bathrooms to number of guests.Nice friendly staff and free paella on a friday.I would stay here again.

Very good stay. Nice room, good facilities (shower head was broken but it didn\'t matter because there were two more bathrooms on the same floor). Location not too far from the centre. You can walk to Placa Catalunya in about 20 mins. Bus outside the door and Diagonal Metro station is 10 mins walk away. Friendly staff plus free Paella and Sangria on Friday! I\'ll recommend it to my friends going to Barca.

On the whole it was fairly good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The security was a bit of a worry because there were no locks on the doors to the room, although the lockers for valuables somewhat made up for that.
