Room with lots of character (and even a bath) and very very nice location close to the center of town. The hand drawn city map is really useful :).

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel, the host was excellent and gave us some fantastic tips on where to go and where to eat which was invaluable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in Cesky. The house is located a very short walk to the town centre and exceeded all our expectations. We had a lovely meal at Papas Restaurant down by the river.

Hello, thank you for your comment. With regard to the open plan bathroom in the Nirvana Boudoir, in the wintertime rooms are heated, now it was 30 degrees Celsius outside, there seemed no need to heat the house. I believe temperature would not change with or without door to the bathroom. Happy Travels and thank you for having stayed at the Hangout. Best, m.d.

I spent only one night at Dilettante\'s Hangout. Honestly, it took me a while to find the location. However, the guide instruction is so helpful with very details information, so you won\'t be lost. And the view is also great along the way. The room is clean and in the style of some kind of Spain. I had a big bed and ensuite bathroom. In general, I am satisfied with it and I think it is worth of money!

I've stayed in 16 places since starting my travels and this place is easily the best. For a price that we have been paying in other places to stay in a 10 bed dorm we got a private room, huge 4 poster bed, amazing ensuite and good wifi :-) it is located incredibly close to the old town square. Cannot think of one negative comment. Owner is so helpful and trusting, Loved it thank you!

Very fun room filled with lots of artwork by the owner, who we unfortunately didn't get to meet. Absolutely excellent value for money, and even though it wasn't in the heart of Cesky Krumlov it was only a 10-15 minute walk away.

Hello, guys, glad to know you liked the room. Regretfully my younger daughter was hospitalised and during your stay I spent most of my time by her hospital bed. With regard to the location, Hangout is located 5 minutes from the town square on foot, I am a little perplexed by how it could take you 10-15 minutes .. ;0)) It takes 15 minutes to get to the other side of the town. I presume it is due to the fact there are stairs halfway down and the fact that one should walk the stairs (which one can avoid by going around), makes it seem as if we lived in the suburbs, not in the historic centre. ;0) Again, thank you for having stayed with us and many happy travels. Best, Maty Dio

It is a great hostel considering the price. The atmosphere is different from hostel, it is quiet and relaxing here, you normally spend most of time yourself, you cannot even see the receptionist often. But the environment and room is perfect to relax and rest, totally suitable to the mood in CK. It is also much cheaper than the other pension in old town. and the Chinese resturant downstair is great.

So far I like this one best among all the hostels I have stayed. It's not a typical hostel but a beautiful private house. The owner of the house is so so so nice. The online instructions of direction offered by him are so detailed that anyone can find the house easily. The restaurants recommended by him are all good. The most attractive thing is the interior design of the house. The owner must be an artist.I can never tell enough about how I love this house!

My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights. Mati was very helpful when we first arrived recommending several places which were great. We had a room with a kitchen, fireplace and bathroom - great value for the price. We don't have any negative feedback and enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend staying here if you visit!! However if you're looking for a Hostel and a party this isn't for you.

Maty was very kind and accommodating—he even upgraded me to a larger room because I had booked the basement room but no one was occupying one of the rooms upstairs. The room was warm and cozy, decorated with paintings, and had a nice fireplace and small kitchen. There were some cobwebs that could stand to be cleaned up, but otherwise, the room was quite tidy. Also, it should be noted that the family upstairs has a dog that barks quite a bit—not bothersome to me, but might be to others.

Hello, my apologies about the dog. My own Chihuahua does not bark much, but I have taken in an abused dog (also Chihuahua), she was used as breeding machine having been hit by the breeders. She is very nervous, distrustful and now, 4 months since I brought her home, she is okay with us, she used to be aggressive towards anyone that came too close, that has resolved with time but she does bark when she wants our attention, mainly when she wants to be touched. I am looking for a home with a retired person for her who could give her constant attention she needs - when she recovers a little more, so that barking issue in my house is not permanent. Best, Maty

Really pleasant stay. Personally me I had some issue with the noise of a swithc or thermostat on the heating system but my partner hadn´t. So it was really minor. The rest was excellent. We really appreciated the atmosphere and the cleanliness.
