Had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The staff were very kind and helpful. The space is calm and clean. It is very affordable. They also have great tour offers. I booked the Nile cruise through them and couldn't mind a better price. I had a great experience with all the tours. I wanted to try some local uncommon foods so they told me bout several restaurants and dishes. I recommend the stuffed pigeons! Again, the hostel is great, truely lovely.

Had a great time at the hostel with my sister. I did the blog special so I got to stay for just 5egp. I blog about my travels anyway, so I wrote about my stay in Cairo and put some photos, showed it at the reception, and then I only had to pay my deposit of 5EGP. This was great! Less than 1 dollar for my stay. And the hostel is really nice! Nice common rooms, great breakfast, clean rooms and bathrooms. I was really impressed! So glad we stayed at Dina's Hostel !!

Dina's was my favorite part of Cairo. The rooms are really spacious and full of light. I was in the dorm, which was nice and clean. They have something to plug in for the mosquitoes so I slept well. I read something about bed bugs, but the sheets and walls were clean, didn't have a problem. I was there for "Egyptian Breakfast" so I got to sample what locals have for their breakfast - this was great, especially since the dorm room costs 7USD! Can't beat that price for a clean and comfy hostel!!

Nice, friendly, simple hostel. Although it is ovbously kept clean without visible problems there were bed bugs in one or two of the three rooms i slept in (11, 12, or 16) - where i got bitten at least twice in a row.

I know it was a backpackers so I shouldn't expect too much. I had booked a room with a bathroom then I was informed that the room had a double bed and I wanted twin beds so I asked them to change my room for one with single beds, however I wasn't told that this room would not have an ensuite, I would have preferred the room with the double bed and ensuite if I ha been given the choice. Very noisy from the street all night long. I'm sure I was bitten by bed bugs.

The Dina and the staff here are very accommodating, knew me by name when I arrived, and created a welcome, homey environment. The rooms are also clean and spacious. This hostel is known by local Cairenes to be one of the best, and I'm happy I chose this for my first stay in Cairo.

It would be very helpful if you had a list of local places to go (good restaurants, sheesha, shopping, etc) - it was tough being in Cairo for such a short time and not knowing which shops were reputable, safe and nearby.

A great option in this price range. The rooms were basic but very functional, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was varied daily, but always great. The staff were friendly and helpful, arranging taxis for us (day trip to pyramids and airport transfer) at very reasonable rates. Would stay here again if/when I return to Cairo.

I read about this hostel in a magazine in Germany and this is what inspired me to come to Egypt. The article was about Dina being an Egyptian female entrepreneur and the creative way that she runs her business. After coming to the hostel I was so impressed. I also visited a number of different hostels in Cairo to see what her competition was. Dina's is truly a unique place! I am so glad that I came to Egypt. I felt safe. And I am so glad that I knew about and stayed at Dina's Hostel. Go here!!

Dina's Hostel is, in my opinion, the best hostel in Egypt! It was so nice to be in a hostel with not only travelers from around the world, but also there are many Egyptians who attend all of the cultural and artistic events at the hostel. The staff were super helpful, the place is clean, breakfast varies from day to day. I had a great stay here!

This is a gem of hostel. The staff is wonderful and accommodating; some of the staff are new and still training, but they are super helpful and Dina is around alot and full of wonderful helpful information. She even personally drove me to a special bank when I was having trouble with my bank account and couldn't access any cash. I was really desperate and she calmed me down and fixed everything. The hostel also has film screenings on Sundays, which are attended by locals and guests. It was great

Had a great time at Dina's Hostel!! It's really got a great feel to it and the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast was tasty, the bathrooms clean, sheets are pressed and bright white, and the common room is full of life. I highly recommend Dina's Hostel. I also joined the pyramid tour, which was a great price. We were a big group and had a lovely day together.

Loved the hostel, but the lift a bit erratic and the (now commonplace) power cuts meant climbing four flights of stairs quite frequntly on your return. Fouind the same problem in Asswan after a trip round the dam where the quide told us the Egypt supplied electricity to three countries, but couldn't guaranttee 24 hour supply in Egypt!. No air conditioning a plus, but fly screens on the windows as we had in Bodrum Turkey would be nice Found Sharrif their Tour Guide very helpful.

We passed a wonderful, very intensive week in Kairo and we warmly recommand to stay in Dina's Hostel. While the city never sleeps we found here a place to relax with clean, sunny and fresh rooms and a very, very friendly staff. From the beginning we felt like in a great family. The hostel with its family room we can also recommand for parents with children looking for an uncomplicated atmoshere. Thank you and see you!"

I have stayed at Dina's many times and it is always a great value for the money. It is a simple hostel to be sure but it serves its role well. Also the breakfast is delicious and very filling.

Pretty much everything was great, except for the insects. The place is filled with mosquitoes biting throughout the day and night, and I also found several bed bugs in the dorms (in the bed and on the wall). I was completely covered in bug bites after spending a night there, and because of that I'm planning on finding another hostel instead of returning to Dina's.

The hostel was great, but I would not get the additional tours through the hostel. The tour guides are not very informative, and I get the feeling they were ripping me off.
