Do not ask for tips if you are providing terrible service.

Dina's Hostel is right downtown, so you can't beat the location. It is a well staffed hostel too (including cleaning crew)! Beds comfortable in good sized rooms. The bathrooms are ok, but drainage isn't the best and there are Mosquitos. I highly recommend a stay here!

Genuinely loved staying here! Dina (and the rest of the staff) were super helpful when it came to advice about all of the tourist destinations. The rooms were really nice, I stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm and didn't have any problem getting to sleep. The only downside is that you have to walk up 5 flights of stairs, but it's actually a lot better than most of the hostels in town, that are on the 9th or 10th floor. Probably one of my favorite hostel stays I've ever had. 5 stars all around!

Very friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff, particularly Dina. Good location (note that Lonely Planet's map shows it in the wrong street), central but not noisy, the place is clean and well organized, with a relaxing atmosphere. Definitively good value.

Very nice hostel in the middle of downtown. Very nice place to meet other travellers. The staff is very helpfull and the hostel has a nice lounge to chill out a bit.

The location is good, the price included a clean towel and a breakfast quite enough to get you started, the noise from the streets aren't heard in the rooms and the staff is extremely helpful, especially Nana. Downside is that it's on the 5th floor, but that's a problem only if the elevator isn't working.

The hostel is close to the Attaba metro station. The shared toilets are impressively clean, with stable hot water. The wifi works well. Overall very good value for money, nothing much to complaint about.

Nice place, center location with easy walking to most things. Got spot to meet new poeple and compare travel notes. Dina did look after me after a tour I booked did not go as plan and she arrange to allow me to do it again and when I came back wanted to know in detail the problems. Very happy in end and greatful for her help and concern

Cairo is a city ful of traffic and therefore a lot of dust but they cleaned the hostel every day. The staff was very nice and helpful, you can ask them anything. Breakfast is included in the price and it was really good.

Friendly staff, nice little breakfast, great location in a wonderful downtown fin de siècle house (type Yacoubian building), incredibly quiet in Cairo proportions. Highly recommended.

Great staff. Everything was fine. I asked for airport pick up. The driver was really nice person. You can trust everyone from this hostel.

Security is a big problem as my passport and purse went missing from the hostel. The owner was very unhelpful, making what was already a stressful situation even more stressful. The staff politics at the hostel was also really tiring to be around. The cleaners often didn't turn up. The laundry service is awful and a number of my clothes were ruined. They have a really bad mosquito problem!

Dina's was a very good hostel. Very helpful in booking really money saving tours (would for sure book the Giza and other pyramids tours). Bathrooms were wet bathrooms and one wall mount was broken and sometimes there was no toilet paper. We even checked out other hostels after our arrival (to see what was around) and dinas is by far the best. Would recommend highly and would stay again. They have solved any previous Mosquito issues they had.
