It was true they have a great breakfast, no doubt! The location was great as it seemed to be on the quieter end of Mitchell Street somewhat away from all the noise. Close to supermarkets, cinemas, and all sorts of shops.

Staff are really helpful & friendly & hostel is close to bars & shops. Pool is great & showers & toilets very clean. Breakfast is amazing - toast, cereals, croissants, fresh fruit, muffins, crumpets, jams & orange juice every day & they brought out more once things had ran out. Lockers in the rooms would be good to store your laptop & passport. The kitchen could also do with another sink and a new cooker as it was hard to light and a bit dangerous.Sometimes untidy/dirty too in the evening

The Kitchen and Pool area were great areas of the hostel as it was an open area to easily socialise with others. The Kitchen was nice and spacious and contained lots of utensils which was great.

The staff were lovely and the free breakfast was the best I'v had in all of Australia. Main complaint is the lack of any lockers, meant I had to lug my valuables with me wherever I went.

Had to go outside to another building to use shower/toilet. Relatively quiet, our room was above the outdoor common area but noise was pretty low in comparison to other hostels. Nothing special really but no major complaints.

This was our first hostel in Australia and we were disappointed. It's more of a workers hostel than a travelers hostel so don't expect much socializing. The kitchen facilities were average, really need more hobs. The majority of people didn't wash their utensils so this had a knock on effect to everyone else. The key deposit was extortionate, rooms were average. The pool is average. There isn't a lot going on in Darwin itself so perhaps made the hostel feel much worse than it was.

Great hostel in the middle of Darwin, close to allamenities and easy reach of city sights. Excellent place for touring Kakadu and Litchfield from. One gripe. How can internet access be so horrendously expensive in Australia and yet free through out Asia.

I found the people and staff to be friendly in general. There were quite alot of people from Estonia staying here and they formed a very tight group which was not easy to become a part of. The pool is an excellent feature and much needed in the humid weather. The room was air conditioned and the facilities were adequate. I do however think that the kitchen being outside and so small is perhaps a negative. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Room and facilities were good - good free breakfast and free laundry and air con. Only complaint is the $40 key deposit which seems excessive compared to every other east coast hostel and the fact you have to be off the premises at 10am on checkout - other hostels let you use the facilities. The owner is also thinking about making the key deposit up to $200!!! Hope no-one stays if that's the case - what backpacker can afford that?!

Smallish size hostel in a good location on mitchell but away from the noisier part. Nice pool & seating area. Outside kitchen attracted flies & most people didn't clear up after themselves so dishes tended to be dirty. Many groups & workers staying there so could be quite noisy. The 4 showers got dirty quite quickly however never had to wait for one. Mattresses could do with replacing as very sunken in middle & not too comfortable. Lovely free breakfast & free laundry with clothes lines.

I stayed here for four nights in an 8 bed dorm. I arrived late and they made it really easy for me to get to my room upon arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful, missed the breakfast because I oversleptt everytime but I heard it was good! One of the better hostels I've stayed in. very clean which is the most important thing!

The hostel was great, there was a great vibe there! The pool was amazing, brekky was great and most of the staff were lovely. The only downer was that you had to pay to use the computers, and that you missed out on brekky if you had crack of dawn tours! I really enjoyed my stay there!! Definitely recommend it.

Nice hostel with kitchen, pool, free laundry and free breakfast. Located in the center, so only a short walk to shops, restaurants, etc. Its at the end of the main street, so not too loud at night... Good atmosphere and cool people. Would definitely stay there again!

It was hard to get in touch with other travellers. Most of them seem to be working in Darwin and based themselves in this hostel. So they had 'closed groups' - not much chance to get in there. After the facilities got cleaned it only seem to take an hour until there were dirty again. The staff were very friendly and helpful though. So if you want to meet people don't go there. If you like to stay alone and have a lot of me-time, then go!
