Worst hostel I've stayed at, on the East Coast and NZ. Has a decent pool and chill out area, and is in a decent location along the strip of hostels not too far from the beach. However the rooms don't really lock and when they do are impossible to open. Kitchen is utter sh*t, closes at 9pm and only has 2!!! Gas hobs for the whole hostel! As well as a swarm of flies next to every bin. I wouldn't stay here if I wasn't doing the tour with the company as everyone's already in groups. Never again.

A hostel with a great atmosphere; it had holiday-with-your-friends vibes due to the DJ in the pool area. $10 burger, chips and a drink which was pretty decent, just make sure you get your voucher early because they run out. Free pancake in the morning, but again if you don't get in the queue quick you'll miss out. The staff were friendly, however the cleaning could have been better - one girl broke her bracelet on the first night - sequins everywhere and it wasn't hoovered at all the next day.

Room was clean and spacious. Nice to have live music and cheap food from the bar. Staff were a little unhelpful and the baggage storage door by the car park was always left wide open.

Lady on the front desk with all the piercings was so rude, immediately put a downer on the hostel as this was the first impression. Overall though it's a pretty decent hostel with a nice chill out area, free wifi and fairly clean facilities. Definitely sort your staff out though.

Due to comments I expected worse, but it was OK. There are things that can be approved to make you feel at home. There is never soap for hands in the toilets which I think is basic hygiene.

A/c was way cold

This hostel is fine for one night, not the kind of place you want to stay for a while.

There were absolutely no air conditioning in any of the rooms as this hostel. We all tried to speak to the staff, and their excuse were that their maintenance guy weren't available. They should have gotten someone else then, because you could not even stay in the smelly and warm rooms. The staff were not helpful. Kitchen was messy and lacked a lot of equipment. Absolutely no security, no lockers or anything.

The stay was good, just the music at 6 am was sooooo annoying. For the rest was ok.

We enjoyed our stay at Dingos! The meals were good and our room was nice. The staff were pretty polite and helpful until our last day. Checkout is 9.30 which is pretty early for a hostel but as we were zipping up our bags at 9.33 a member of staff called Michelle (the name she gave me) was extremely rude and was threatening us with extra charges when it was obvious we were literally just leaving. She continued this throughout checkout and gave us possibly the worst sercice we've had in 2 month!

Nice hostel, great free pancakes in the morning and dinner for just 6 bucks is really good

The room was dirty and smelled. Everywhere cock roaches. Can't recommend that place. They said cheepest beer in town, obvioisly not, found 9 AUD sixpacks closeby ;)

Very standard hostel, stayed in a lot better for less money. The staff were very friendly. The bathroom in the room was a bit grotty and on two separate check ins I had to go and ask for sheets on my bed as there was just a battered old bare mattress. The pools not clean enough to swim in though there is a nice chill out area with hammocks. The kitchen was pretty small but everything seemed clean.

The male staff were a lot friendlier than the female staff. The male staff also cleaned our rooms properly each morning, whereas the females did a half arsed job at it.
