A very funky hostel in the middle of athens right next to the acropole but expect no direct views of it. The overall look of the common areas has a very cool vibe to it with lots of graffiti artwork and the back area were you can watch tV and have breakfast is very nice. However the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms is the real downside of dioskoros specially the blood stained sheets that were set on the bed. For this price range within this location i believe there are alternatives.

When I arrived they tell me I couldnt do my washing (like I had planned) even though it says they have laudary facilities and that it is 2 euros (per person) to store luggage during the day. Therefore, my first impressions of this place were not the best. However, the second day we had an awesome staff member at reception who made us a whole perfect day plan in athens, he was funny and told us all the best places to go to eat and all the best free experiences!!!

The place was kind of shabby, no AC, but the staff is excellent and go out of the way to help you out. Nobody is really willing to socialize here, but I guess that does happen every now and then at hostels.

Pretty good hostel to stay at, but not very conducive to going out since you have to be quiet after 11pm. It's in a neighborhood so they don't want to get in trouble.

There is only half the facilities that this hostel says it has on the website. Breakfast was a lot less then what was said there would be, no actual bar or vending machine which it says it has? No noise control even though there is 24 hr reception staff, if u want any sleep don't stay here, there was a very loud group of people in the court yard right near our room until very early in the morning. They did let us leave our luggage after check out which was helpful

Excellent location within short walkind distance to the Acropoles . Clean and confortable rooms. Basic breakfast only with bread, butter, jam, caffe and some watery milk:), but having breakfast in their outdoor garden makes up for everithing:)

If you are looking for a place to stay in Athens, you found it. Dioskouros. Good Price. Great location, close to markets, central streets, and tourist sites. Cute building, simple sleeping dorms, laundry service, kitchen, and an awesome outdoor area for breakfast and relaxing. The staff is what makes Dioskouros excellent. They gave us great advice about where to go in Athens and our next locations in Greece. Denitsa is an expert on the Greek Isles. Social & chill hostel... I highly recommend it!

The Staff were great and very friendly. Appreciated the recommendations given to us. Good breakfast and loved the character of the hostel from the murals on the walls to the colorful rooms.

Excellent location, moments away from the Acropolis and cultural centre of Athens. Otherwise very clean, provides all the basics you need: hot showers, beds not too bad, staff are absolutely lovely, nice garden in the back to chill out in, breakfast is a bit dull but at that location for those prices I can't complain. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Athens.

This was located in the side streets of Athens, which made it have an uneasy feel at nighttime. However, it was located very close to several sites, the bus station, and the market which was nice. The female staff there was extremely friendly and helpful, however, the male staff we encountered was blatantly the opposite. The gardens of the area were beautiful, however, bugs were prominent because of this; resulting in multiple bites. Air conditioning was not present. All common areas were clean.

Dioskouros is in a fantastic and quiet area of Athens. You are just 5 minutes from the Partheon and across the street from the Temple of Zeus. The staff was very friendly and offered a number of reccomendations when it came to resturants and bars. I give it 5/5, and would strongly reccomend it to anyone traveling through Athens on a budget.

We stayed here on two separate occasions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. My two problems were that it was really noisy with people returning home really late and having showers/vomiting in the toilets or people up really early and having no regard for other guests. The other problem is that the shared bathroom isn't always stocked with toilet paper/soap. In saying all of this, the place was in a great location to see the acropolis and surrounds. The garden is great.

The location was convenient in terms of proximity to major sight-seeing destinations. However, due to the location in a back street, it wasn't the best view or atmosphere. The room was nice, clean and fairly quiet. However, the bathrooms were not good. One shower had almost no pressure, the other had no hook to put the faucet on. There was no shower curtain, almost impossible to not spill water all on the floor, which was inconvenient because it was in the same room as toilet and sink.

The rooms are spacious, with a nice balcony and tall ceilings. The breakfast was simple but good. Staff was very helpful. They took time explaining directions and traveling options. It's also a 10 minute walk from the acropolis!
