they made my reserve (my voyage was in january 2012) in setember 2011, and in decenber send me a email telling that they would put me in another hotel because of a reconstruction. but if you enter in the site at that time and try do reserve a room, they did. so i did understant why. i undersant that i made a reservation and they confirmed and when missed 1 week to travel they told me that i would stay in another hotel. AND I DID NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK.

The hostel was very nice in general, we were supossed to stay on a room for 3 but when they put us on a private of 2 for the same price so that we would be more comfortable :) The beds were average comfortable, the bathroom was clean and both hot and cold water worked perfectly. The breakfast was ok; toasts with jam, butter or honey, coffee, milk, eggs, and tea. the only problem was that it was freezing cold, I think that they have a problem with the heating system so i advise to bring blankets!

Our 5 bedroom dorm was chilly because there was no heat (was there in Nov.). The breakfast was awful (toast and hard boiled eggs that were still runny, jam, and coffee). The showers were decent. Great location.

I emailed the hostel in advance to cancel my booking and have been charged the full amount. I would like to be refunded.

The location is unbeatable. I walked everywhere. The staff are really friendly and i think they really make the place. The rooms are simple and in winter - really really cold. I had 3 blankets, luckily it was off season so not many people, which means i could have three. The other girl in my dorm had 4. It's COLD. The price however, is great and the breakfast, while basic was good enough to get me going in the morning.

The hostel was extremely helpful when we needed to leave additional pieces of luggage to venture to an island for a few days. They stowed our luggage for 2 euros a bag per day, but in the end charged only half that price! It was near Syntagma (Parliament and metro stop; 5 mins walk) which is a nicer part of the city. We felt safe walking to and from hostel. Near Plaka (market) and other ruins. Can walk to Acropolis! Room itself was clean, comfortable, & charming. Free breakfast. Great hostel!

Overall this a good place to stay for cheap. Not the fanciest or cleanest place. I wasn't a huge fan of the bathroom/shower situation. But for the money, the location and staff make it worth it.

I was not late for breakfast yet when I arrived there was no milk and nothing to eat but one single piece of bread? When I asked staff what I could have they said nothing as nothing was left? If Im going to be charge for breakfast I expect to get some.

The best things about Dioskouros were the VERY friendly staff and the great location - only a few minutes walk to the Acropolis.

I did not like how the bathrooms did not have soap, the website says there is alot more served for breakfast than actually is, and the people who work at the hostel were friendly but not overly helpful.
