I had a very pleasing stay at Dioskouros. Being located right in the heart of the Athens I could walk to all the main archeological attractions as well as to the commercial center in Syntagma and the flea market in Monastiraki. The staff at the hotel are very polite and helpful and the room and shower/toilet facilities are clean and well maintained. All in all - very good value for money! : )

Excellent location, the staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe because we got there in low season, but breakfast was very poorly.

Originally I booked 1 night at Dioskouros, but I ended staying 2 more, cause it`s a really nice place situated in the safest part of Athens center, just few minutes walk from all the major sites. It`s also nice that the hotel has a fantastic terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee, for free :), right under the Acropolis.

You get what you pay for is important to remember. The staff was okay, and the hostel wasn't horrible. The only things that annoyed me was I emailed beforehand to ask if I could pay with a credit card although they said yes, when I got there the next day their credit card machine was broken... For the location though you really cant complain. Everything is really close. Its also nice that each room has its own sink and mirror and wardrobe.

they made my reserve (my voyage was in january 2012) in setember 2011, and in decenber send me a email telling that they would put me in another hotel because of a reconstruction. but if you enter in the site at that time and try do reserve a room, they did. so i did understant why. i undersant that i made a reservation and they confirmed and when missed 1 week to travel they told me that i would stay in another hotel. AND I DID NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK.

Actually I didn\'t stay in the Dioskouros. It was closed for renovations when I was there so I was sent to the Hotel Fivos. The Fivos was really nice. Very friendly staff, great location close to everything and a nice, clean, quiet room. The only bad thing was the other guests. I remember a time not so long ago when the thing to do in common rooms was to meet other travellers and talk. But at the Fivos, these boring twirps never took their eyes off their computers, let alone tried to converse.
