Discovery Cafe & Guest House Reviews

The additional dorms were down a dark alley through the back of a shop which if people forget to lock the door after themselves then its open to anyone. The dorms don't have individual locks either. I felt quite unsafe especially after booking an all female dorm and spending my first night sharing with 5 men and the second night completely on my own with my rucksack blocking the door as there's no lock. Other than that, the food is ok, location is great and the owner is really nice.

The location of the Cafe is ok. But the guesthouse is apart from the cafe and the guest must across the road. What's more, it is dirty there with much garbage out side the road where you have walk by. Wifi is only supplied in the Cafe and can't be used in the guesthouse. In addition it is dirty in side of the guesthouse.

You get what you paid for... the back street is abit dodgy with rats running everywhere at night time...

Older place that definitely feels the wear -- bathrooms are not very nice, peeling paint, etc. But it's in a good location, has a good atmosphere, a restaurant downstairs, and live music every night. Noisy until late (around 1am when we stayed), but not so bad that it was impossible to sleep.

I made a booking with female dormotory, but on sunday, it's suddenly changed to mixed dormitory without any previous information. The staff said it's because of weekend!!! The location was good. The breakfast was poor. The staffs were all good and kind. The room was clean. A.C was working from 10 PM to 6 AM. Wifi not wokring in the room. If you want to use WIFI you should go out of the guest house and walk a bit to the discovery cafe (3minutes).
