Located near museums and markets. About a 15 min walk to long street. Very friendly staff. Could be noisy from the club across the street. I really enjoyed my stay here.

I found the information on Hostelbookers very misleading. As a young woman traveling alone I felt very unsafe. There was no other backpackers, only older men staying here. There was a terrible lack of security-no lockers, no left luggage, no safe, and posters everywhere warning about leaving luggage unattended. There is no common room-its just a bar/pub with some rooms above it. But the staff were very friendly and very helpful.

It is a really cheap Hostel/Dorm in a area with great history. The staff is really nice, too! It's location is very central, you can reach anypoint from the city here(Loop street, district six museum, docks, city bowl, the castle of good hopes...). The area is absolutely save, though it doesnt seem like that at first sight. It also has a little nice bar with nice people and also very cheap (drinks, food). If you want a cheap and central stay in CT I can definitely recommend this underrated Hostel!

Excellent atmosphere, brilliant staff. Both dorm and private room were clean, spacious and have a great views of Table Mountain. Although not on in centre of town, only a short work to Long Street, train station and main attractions. Great stay, made our new year one of the best ever!!!! Cape Town is both lively and beautiful, would recommend Cape Town and District Six Backpackers to anyone!

The room was above a Pub and very loud. Every second day music till loud music till 2AM. On Saturday the music was louder then all the other days. I was told from stuff, that the music is about 2 times a week. That was not true: every second day and SA+SUN. I would not recommend this hostel if you would like to get some sleep.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very good place for money.

Backpacker District 6 was an awful experience. the "reception" is the pokies room of a dingy pub which is smoky and disgusting. the staff were extremely rude and didnt know what they were doing. The facilities were pathetic the "kitchen" was a rusty microwave and a crappy looking hot plate. The rooms were dirty and falling apart. There is a night club on the same level and the Harley Davidson club across the road. The only thing nice about it was that you could see table mountain.

Good communication by metro to the center (hostel is near metro, so it is very convenient to return in evening, when you are tired)and by train to airport, but on the other hand, it is a little bit noisy in the night due too noise of trains. Room and toilet is quiet clean. Staff doesn\'t speak english, but it is possible to communicate with the help of gestures :))) So if your purpose is to visit Rome as opposed to staying in a luxury hotel- I recommend this place for staying.

for 8 € ensuite is this a very good stay!it was clean and we felt safe there. just the kitchen is not fully equipped, but in the bar they borrow you the things you will need for cooking. location is near the central city.

No communal kitchen respectively the so cold kitchen consists of one microwave and two hotplates. The bathroom was not clean neither the toilets. There is also no communal room to meet backpackers. I do not recommend this hostel.

Thank you very much. It was very nice with you. All the best! Theodor Lehner

noisy!!! there's a night club at the same floor as the rooms. drunk people at the entrance eveyday. BUT: close to long street, greenmarket and affordable.

Great place to stay, good location, great food available and entertainment all under one roof. Staff are very helpful.

The room was really clean and comfortable. Kind of a sketchy neighborhood to come back to at night, but otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

Not so far of the center by walking and more quiet that Long Street.

5 minutes walking distance to Fan Fest !!!
