Great hostel in a great part of town. You are walking distance to pretty much everything you want to see in Porto. The staff are helpful with whatever you need and were always friendly!

Having a bar would be awesome but otherwise it was an amazing stay, everything was great.

Excellent place to stay in Porto. Staff was really friendly and had always good advice. Would definitely recommend it.

It was a great hostel, the staff was very friendly, fun and with very very nice advices to share! Bathrooms were clean and dorm rooms big enough. One night we had an overbooking in the room, and we paid less than the normal price. Nice people as well!

The staff at the reception was I think the friendliest I have ever met in a hostel. They spent a lot of time explaining us whatever we asked for and did that in a very nice and motivated way! The place is really nice, decorated in a creative way and you feel at home just after one night. And especially comparing with other hostels in the south of Europe the breakfast is really good :) The only negative fact is that it might be a little noisy at night...

Was a wonderfully home-like, comfortable hostel to stay in. Really nice and safe, location was absolutely superb - views of the river from the balcony. The staff at the hostel were mostly nice. Pedro was a delight! Helped out a lot when you needed help with the city. He also recommended the best place to have an authentic Portuguese dinner! More of a comfortable hostel perhaps to stay with a partner on a weekend away- or if you're just feeling homesick!

I stayed to nights at Dixo's. The rooms are good and very clean, with a confortable bed. The showers are also good and with hot water. The staff is nice and friendly and the breakfast is great, with milk, coffee and juice, bread, cheese and more. The atmosphere is nice. We can stay at the reception and they have a terrace with a nice view to the city. Location is really good, very close to Ribeira and not far from the train station. I would definetly stay there again!

The staff was amazing! Especially Pedro! Really nice and helpful! The hostel was quite good-location is perfect, near city center. The bathroom is quite small and not so cosy. The room is ok, not so much place, but it's ok. Breakfest could be better-especially for travellers who are not coming from south of Europe

I have stayed in some 25-30 hostels across Europe, and this hostel has to be the best that I have stayed in. Their tag line of - a home away from home - could not be more apt. Sarah was an excellent host and really helped us with directions and helped us feel at home. #besthostel

We loved our stay at Dixo's. Great rooms, comfy beds, excellent location and a rooftop terrace with views over the city. Really helpful and friendly staff; Paulo gave me a full tour of the hostel and all the info on what to do in Porto when I arrived at 1am! Only thing that could be improved was the showers, the shower head wasn't able to be attached to the wall.

Great staff. A little noisy if you're looking for quiet. The mattress needed to be updated but the rest of the hostel was great! Kitchen was awesome and bathrooms were clean. The staff was so helpful!

Really the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Beautiful roof terrace. Beautiful old building. Lovely interior. Always clean. Very friendly staff. They said it's your home away from home. It is! :) Hopefully coming back one day.

The location was brilliant! Really easy to get everywhere and the roof top views were fabulous. The staff were also friendly, chilled and helpful. My only issue was the 'wet dog' smell which lingered (mostly downstairs). Staff should try to resolve this because after a while it's irritating. All in all though, a really nice hostel.

Amazing staff. Special thanks to Sara and her good indications to main spots to see and enjoy. The Hostel in itself is very well located (near from beautiful monuments and also very good restaurants). You will find a terrace at the very last floor, which gives you a very nice view of Porto and the Dom Luis I Bridge.

The Staff were really helpful and gave great advice for absolutely everything. They have a boat tour and wine tour offered as well and it was amazing! I strongly recommend staying here. Super easy to find from the train station and airport.

Unfortunately I only had one night in this Hostel, but I enjoyed it heaps! Great atmosphere, nice staff, awesome rooms and nice kitchen/breakfast area. Someone had a remarkable sense for interior sense here. The view from the terrace is breathtaking :) Would come back anytime.
