Very very nice hostel in the heart of porto with rooftop to chill and drink a port wine or a beer and enjoy the view. the staff was very friendly and everything was very clean - just a perfect hostel. If we visit Porto again this our home away from home - as they would say.

Good location, nearby main places. You can do everything by foot. When I arrived my bed was dirty because they forgot to clean and the shower boxes are small. The staff was a little bit cold.

I find it a pitty that there was no washing machine there as I was only staying 2 nights and would have needed to wash my clothes.

The Dixo's staff, location and value could not have pleased us more! The hostel is situated just below the city's Se Cathedral as well as the docks of the Douro River. I won't soon forget the view of Porto at night from the amazing rooftop and dining room, thank you so much!

very nice home, in the center of Porto. Staff always have a good advise, they are very friendly. The breakfast is amazing... just during the week end, there are a lot of noise because of the others tourists, but isn't disturbing my holiday because i was there to have fun too!

Pro: - location in the center of the city - staff was friendly and helpful - reasonably priced drinks at the front desk - solid breakfast Con: - too few facilities - very loud because of the open kitchen - sucky wifi at the upper floor

A very nice authentic building right in the heart of Oporto. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The latter was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a terrace overlooking the river. Location is hard to beat --- in the city center and all port shippers are across the bridge, 15-25 minutes on foot. A little far from the nearest subway stop but it's worth the walk.

Joana who runs the hostel is lovely - very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Pedro was also great - cheerful and informative, helping us book restauarants and providing us with tips. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hostel and facilities - we do not usually stay in hostels so were a little concerned about this, but it was very clean - much appreciated. For the price, this hostel is excellent value and no complaints at all. Good breakfast in the mornings too!

This is probably the best hostal I've ever stayed in. We arrived quite early in the morning and although it was too early to check-in, they still offer us to have breakfast (really good breakfast by the way). The room was really nice and cosy which is unsual in hostals and the bathroom modern and very clean. Above all, the staff was amazing, very helpful and nice (ask them to take you on a free Pancho tour to visit the city, it's Pedro one of the receptionists who lead them, he's really great !)

I really enjoyed my stay. It would be more convenient for me with reasonably priced laundry facilities as I was travelling for a longer period of time.
