The best hostel I've ever stayed at. It got even better with the pleasant surprise of the roof top terrace with the view of Ribeira, Rio Douro, and Vila Nova de Gaia. Not much in the way of breakfast but the bathroom hygiene was good, wifi was great, and the language skills and hospitable nature of the employees there were excellent. Might as well mention it has play station 2, some old games and classic films like pulp fiction that you are free to watch in the lobby. Pub crawl was amazing too.

The value for money would normally be excellent too but I was there during a big concert and prices doubled.

The view from the terrace is totally breathtaking and having a morning coffee there is one of the best ways to start a day! The decor of the whole hostel is so cute that it was barely impossible to check out! If I'm back to Porto I'll definitely return to this hostel! :D

Great hostel in a great part of town. You are walking distance to pretty much everything you want to see in Porto. The staff are helpful with whatever you need and were always friendly!

It was a great hostel, the staff was very friendly, fun and with very very nice advices to share! Bathrooms were clean and dorm rooms big enough. One night we had an overbooking in the room, and we paid less than the normal price. Nice people as well!

The staff at the reception was I think the friendliest I have ever met in a hostel. They spent a lot of time explaining us whatever we asked for and did that in a very nice and motivated way! The place is really nice, decorated in a creative way and you feel at home just after one night. And especially comparing with other hostels in the south of Europe the breakfast is really good :) The only negative fact is that it might be a little noisy at night...

Was a wonderfully home-like, comfortable hostel to stay in. Really nice and safe, location was absolutely superb - views of the river from the balcony. The staff at the hostel were mostly nice. Pedro was a delight! Helped out a lot when you needed help with the city. He also recommended the best place to have an authentic Portuguese dinner! More of a comfortable hostel perhaps to stay with a partner on a weekend away- or if you're just feeling homesick!

I stayed to nights at Dixo's. The rooms are good and very clean, with a confortable bed. The showers are also good and with hot water. The staff is nice and friendly and the breakfast is great, with milk, coffee and juice, bread, cheese and more. The atmosphere is nice. We can stay at the reception and they have a terrace with a nice view to the city. Location is really good, very close to Ribeira and not far from the train station. I would definetly stay there again!

The staff was amazing! Especially Pedro! Really nice and helpful! The hostel was quite good-location is perfect, near city center. The bathroom is quite small and not so cosy. The room is ok, not so much place, but it's ok. Breakfest could be better-especially for travellers who are not coming from south of Europe
