Pro: - location in the center of the city - staff was friendly and helpful - reasonably priced drinks at the front desk - solid breakfast Con: - too few facilities - very loud because of the open kitchen - sucky wifi at the upper floor

A very nice authentic building right in the heart of Oporto. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The latter was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a terrace overlooking the river. Location is hard to beat --- in the city center and all port shippers are across the bridge, 15-25 minutes on foot. A little far from the nearest subway stop but it's worth the walk.

Joana who runs the hostel is lovely - very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Pedro was also great - cheerful and informative, helping us book restauarants and providing us with tips. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hostel and facilities - we do not usually stay in hostels so were a little concerned about this, but it was very clean - much appreciated. For the price, this hostel is excellent value and no complaints at all. Good breakfast in the mornings too!

This is probably the best hostal I've ever stayed in. We arrived quite early in the morning and although it was too early to check-in, they still offer us to have breakfast (really good breakfast by the way). The room was really nice and cosy which is unsual in hostals and the bathroom modern and very clean. Above all, the staff was amazing, very helpful and nice (ask them to take you on a free Pancho tour to visit the city, it's Pedro one of the receptionists who lead them, he's really great !)

I really enjoyed my stay. It would be more convenient for me with reasonably priced laundry facilities as I was travelling for a longer period of time.

This was a great hostel experience! It was so cute and homey, had excellent facilities (esp huge lockers and free breakfast!), and the staff was extremely helpful... and easy on the eyes. I'm looking at you, beautiful man who works the night shift. I checked in on March 5th, you have my email ;)

Great hostel. The staff were really friendly and had lots of great recommendations. Breakfast ends at 10:30- a bit early for someone used to the Spanish schedule, but it's quite delicious. It's really easy to meet people there and the living room is quite comfortable and home-like. Go on the free walking tour and pub crawl (€10) that they organize, they are really fun and y get an insider's view of Porto. (They are also good about making sure they don't accidentally lose anyone along the way.)
