Clean and renovated, the showers were great. Free internet and tea was nice. (Laundry machine wasn't working unfortunately!) But it was a short walk ...

About Dizzy Daisy Downtown Hostel

The most magical place to be... a truthful pearl among Cracow Hostels. It is inevitable for the traveler to “stay one more night. “You cannot specify your departure time after a couple of minutes in the hostel – Cracow attracts all tourists!

Dizzy Daisy Downtown was one of the first hostels to open in Krakow. In five years of our existence, we have provided thousands of people from all over the world a comfortable stay in our city, and hence the popularity and renowned name of Dizzy Daisy among tourists and backpackers. Come to us and you won’t be able to keep away for a single night!

The hostel is located on Pędzichów Street, tucked away in a quiet corner but finding itself right in the core of the Krakow city centre. You’ll need no more than 10 minutes to get to the main square. The same distance separates us from the main railway station, and the biggest shopping centre in the city – Galeria Krakowska. Dizzy Daisy is housed in a XIX c., two-story tenement building that has been completely renovated, and is modern and functional.

In Dizzy Daisy Downtown we offer studios – 2 and 3 person rooms with a shared bathroom, as well as spacious multi-person dorm rooms with lockers. The rooms are regularly renovated so that everyone who stays with us is 100% satisfied with services offered. Included in the price is a traditional Polish breakfast that is served in the restaurant situated in the next building.

A cozy common room finds itself right beside the reception, where you can surf freely on the Internet, watch hundreds of channels of TV, DVDs, play cards, lay down comfortably on the couch and read, or meet people from all over the world and taste local drinks, which you can find in an all-night store just around the corner. The fully-equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea is separated by the bar counter and common room.

Besides this, a washer and dryer are at your disposal, which you can use at any time and free of charge. We offer free baggage storage, which resolves problems of early and late flight or train times.

The reception of the hotel is of course open 24 hours, and the people working there are eager to help, even after a 5am start. They will provide you with information on sight-seeing, tourist attractions, the best clubs and events. It is worth asking – our receptionists will help in both renting a car and picking the best jazz club. Do you prefer house, rock, or R & B? No problem, in Krakow you’ll find a club with every kind of music, and there’s a good chance that it’ll be located just around the corner.

For those eager to get in contact with family and friends, we offer cheap international calls. For details, of course ask the receptionist.

The most popular clubs, theatres, and galleries are all situated in the vicinity of the Main Square, which means 5-10 minutes by foot. Thanks to this, we are able to guarantee you the peace you need after a night out, at the same time being in close proximity to the tourist attractions and pubs. The choice is up to you, whether you have the urge to party in the clubs till dawn, or to sleep soundly without the noise and turmoil that finds itself on Krakow’s streets till the early hours of the morning. We can only guarantee you that a dance club doesn’t find itself beneath the floor of your hostel room, as it does in many of Krakow’s tenement buildings, and outside the window you won’t see a swarm of loud partiers. The building is equipped with monitoring, extra safety precautions, and is protected by a security service – you can sleep assured.

For those interested in tours and the environs of Krakow, we have a special offer – a wide range of trips to Zakopane, Wieliczka, Wadowice, as well as other beautiful nooks in the near vicinity of Krakow. It is surely worthwhile to see the Auschwitz Museum, as well as to visit Krakow in a non-conventional way: by bike, or the communist community of Nowa Huta in an original 60’s automobile!

What’s most important, is that DDD is a hostel with particularly attractive rates. Visit us then, visit one of the oldest* and most established hostels in Krakow.

*Dizzy Daisy Downtown was established in 2002 as the third year-round hostel in Krakow.
