The hostel was more like a hotel than a dorm. The location is right off of the Haupbanhoff train station so it is very convienient. There is a backpackers bar just down the road (roughly 5-7 min walk) and it is difficult not to have a good time there. Good experience.

Everything was ok, except luggage room which has lockers but you have to bring your own padlock or buy it from hostel's staff for 5 EUR! This is problem because check-in is at 3PM, so you have to bring your luggage with you if you don't want to waste all day waiting for room. Hygiene was at highest level, overall I recommend this hostel.

The location is near to the train station, metro stop and tram stop, so very accessible. Nice and helpful staff, explaining extensively on where to go and how. One thing that could be improved is the Wifi accessibility, the signal was hardly reached by us in the room and even once reached, the time provided is very limited in few minutes.

A makeshift hostel with no character. The hostel is in a different building than the reception. Needs to be aired out badly. Very humid and smelly inside. Also, the shower heads have no holders so you need to hold it. There was a bit of an ant problem in the room as well.

Optional breakfast was great value. Rooms very comfy but quite noisy. Only downside is that they gave you a bath mat as your towel so take your own!

Nice, basic clean facilities. A little way out of the centre of town.

Overall, it is fine, very close to Westbahnhof, a well equipped kitchen to prepare your own food or you can have breakfast in the restaurant for 5 Euros. Only down was that my room was on the street side so it was a bit noisy and with a very strong smell of cigarette smoke even though it was in the no smokers area, although it seems to be the norm all over Vienna.

Very friendly staffs and willing to provide tips & advice. Location is convenient and very near from the West Bahnhof. Clean and good kitchen facilities. Will recommend those who want to stay at Do Step Inn at VIENNA.

Sadly there is no real common room just a relatively big kitchen, so it was difficult to really sit down with some people (if you don't want to block the kitchen for others). There is a bar with comfy couches, but you are not allowed to sit there if you bring your own drinks - which I think is very un-hostel-like. What additionally reduces the character, is that people mostly stay for only 1 or 2 nights. (Because it is very near to the Westbahnhof)

So, there are two buildings for this hostel. The first is where you check in and it has some rooms and a bar. The second is a couple of blocks away, and has more rooms. The first building seemed really nice and the people at the front desk/bar were really happy to talk to travelers. The second building was sterile, the layout was a little confusing, and the rooms in the basement were kind of creepy.
