The price is too high and the facilities are not so good. The kitchen and the frige is too small. You can only use hot water and AIR CONDITIONING from 8 pm to 8 am.

It was an OK hostel and reasonably comfortable for the price, but there was clearly no effort made to make things especially clean or pretty. The bathroom sink and toilet didn't work well, and the shower didn't have any hot water. There aren't that many hostels in Samana, so perhaps they don't need to try very hard. They also didn't have my reservation when I arrived, because they apparently don't check the reservations from the web site.

Not recommended. The rooms were dark and dinghy, there was no hot or even warm water, and there was no A/C. The staff did not mention that we had to leave our keys in order to get maid service, and there were ants all over the place. Weak WiFi, and only available in the reception office. No security either, not even a front door, though the area felt pretty safe. Otherwise, great location near the malecon and close to restaurants and bars, but it also was noisy at night.

This place looks like more than a local hotel than a hostel. On the other hand the people that stays there is young which facilitates finding a traveller atmosphere. The staff is friendly but do not expect them to speak english or to be well informed about itineraries. Good value for money, though the cheaper rooms do not have hot water included. The location is unbeateble! Samana is probably one of the most underated cities in the country and it has so much to offer!

- really nice and very helpful spanish owner (?) ! [however his female dominican substitute in the evening is still helpful, but not really motivated or interested in needs] - location is good, balcony is really nice upstairs - Air con (private double room) & warm water is just available from 8.P.M. TO 8.A.M (-> over night), however still in this time range warm water wasn't available
