Calm Hostel in a good location close to the la city center. The staff was very friendly and the dorm big. They had heatings in the common areas and basic breakfast. The kitchen was good equipped. The only negative point is that the sheets were smelling mouldy and they were to big so after some turning in the night you will sleep on the blank mattress.
Breakfast here isn't the best, as some people have already pointed out but it is better than nothing. The staff were helpful and the dorm was clean. The lockable drawers under the bed are quite shallow but adequate. The location is good just a short walk from the main street.
Accomodation is quite good and staff really friendly. However, the price is a little expensive even in low season... but most of the hostel have a similar price
Expensive, like the rest of Uruguay. Close to downtown, but it's a little far to get to Pocitos or the beach. Area seems slightly sketchy at night, but they have decent security. Breakfast was just toast and jam.
It's ok. Staff is quite nice. You have a complete kitchen and several common areas, such as the terrase, lounge and dinning yard. The days I stayed there it was really quiet. Bad things is that you can hear people upstairs or in the other rooms. Also, just two showers for the whole hostel (one for girls, another for guys) can be a problem. Breakfast was ok: coffee, bread, jam, juice. It's a nice place, and seems to be a little bit cheaper than other hostels around, so take that into account.
Dolce Vita is in a central location, most attractions are walking distance. Staff are friendly and quite helpful with tips on how to see the best of Montevideo. The hostel is in a pretty cool building with a rooftop. The facilities are decent, could do with some renovations though. Would stay here again.
Amazing place! I've had 10 great days at Dolce Vita Hostel. Its a very good place to stay. Clean, safe, silent, good people and lots of attractions near by. Tano, Emi and all the staff are very helpful all the time. They will explain all the city and make sure you're going to find some fun. You can walk around town or rent a bike in the hostel. Enjoy the terrace with a night full of stars. I just loved it!
