Awesome! The owner Andres is super-nice, and helped me have an awesome weekend in Uruguay, even if that meant staying one night less in Dolce Vita! I had a crazy plan to go surfing on the Atlantic coast, and he did everything he could to make sure it happened -- researching online, calling people, and reporting back his findings. I couldn't believe how excited he was to investigate and help. A great spot with a calm onda. Great to come home to!

The staff was more than helpful. Having arrived on a national holiday where almost everything was shut down, the staff ensured that we were able to continue with our travel plans by calling multiple bus services. The kitchen was awesome and huge and had a sharp knife! It was about 2 or 3 in the morning when the guests quieted down, but I fell asleep right away even though it took my partner a while until it quieted. I am so glad we went here, it was clean and nice and friendly!! Would go again!

Very nice hostel in a spacious charming old building. Very clean an confortable. As for the location, it's at 15 to 20 minute walking distances to the old city (Ciudad Vieja), the Tristan Narvaja faire and the Isla de Flores street (where the Candombe parade takes place on sundays). The hosts are two very nice and helpfull italian guys. Conclusion, it was a very nice stay.

Great old renovated building with a cool downstairs area. Staff were good and always around. Lockers under beds, front door locked at night. Kichen facilities ok and a decent size. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to a friend.

Dolce vita is the third Hostel we visited in Montevideo, and without a doubt, we can say that it was the best one we've ever stayed at! Once you get in, you just want to stay for as much time as you can; the slow music in the background, the ambiance, the smell. Everything was neat, our room was perfect and the staff awesome; always willing to give advice and recommendations to have a great time, both in the hostel and the city. We loved it and we recommend it. We'll sure be back next time!

This is the best hostel I've stayed in while traveling through South America. It's located in Palermo, which is not really in the center of action, but most places of interest can be reached easily on foot. The real draw is the staff. They are extremely helpful and nice. They have great recommendations and create a very homelike atmosphere in the hostel. During my stay we had several dinners where most guest as well as the owners and workers pitched in and we ate together. And it's clean.

My stay at Dolce Vita was lovely. The hostel is incredibly clean, the beds comfortable and the owners care about their clients. I would recommend this hostel to anyone that wants a great experience in an area very close to the touristic wonders of Montevideo!

We originally planned to stay only 2 nights in La Dolce Vita but ended up staying more than a week! Juan Lucas and Andres, the owners, were very helpful, attentive to our needs and always up for a good chat! The hostel is clean and well located, close to everything. The kitchen is also very well equiped! If your looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay, don\'t hesitate! We would come back any time! Este hostel es PERFECTO...y TA, es la pura Dolce Vita...! GRACIAS! Merci beaucoup!

Clearly put, our best stay in a hostel. A lot of thought has been put in the process of making your stay as enjoyable as possible, and it works. The rooms are spacious, the place is quiet at night, everything is impeccably clean, common's areas make you want to hang out the whole day there, and above all that, the staff is amazingly nice and helpful. The place absolutly deserves it's over 90% rating. Ci vediamo ragazzi, baci per la mamma !

Andres and Luca, the two gentlemen running Dolce Vita, were superbly friendly and accommodating. They were always sure to check that everything was okay, that we knew where we were going (when heading out for the day or evening), and that all facilities were clean and functional this is one of the nicest hostels I\'ve ever stayed in. If I had one complaint, it\'d just be that more people need to stay here! (It was a tad quiet, perhaps because the hostel is so new and not too well-know yet.)

Very quietly located hostel relatively new in an old building of classical setting, doors of the spacious rooms open to a patio, which are the only inlets of light an air, owners of Italian background, which shows in the superbly equipped kitchen, but therefore the coffee could be better,
