The Hostel is amazing, super clean and it's on a very very good location near of a lot of good bars, restaurants and the metro. The only problem is that the shower takes 30 minutes to get hot and sometimes it just doesn't get hot enought.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, cool little bar downstairs with excellently priced drinks, very clean, well designed and very private dorms, great breakfast, cool building. Highly recommended

clean hostel, the dorms are very private, beds very comfy, hot water at all time, a little cold in the common areas, good crowd, can get a little noisy at night because we are very close to the busy pio nono street, but it was okay. i´d recommend this hostel. Ask to do the grafiti tour with Ian and Dan, its a MUST do

Lots of the doors need some oil because they are very noisy. Other than that it was a good place.

Where do I begin? Of all the hostels I've stayed in, this has been by far, the best EVER! Very comfy dorms with your own private locker and plugs plus a small lamp. I thoroughly enjoyed gathering in the kitchen to cook with fellow travelers. Whenever I had a question to ask the staff was out there for me. A big THANK YOU to Magali, Ian, Pablo, Daniel for your assistance! They also have a bar in the basement where you can meet some locals and have fun! Highly RECOMMENDED!

I loved the house. Looks really cool with all the wood and design details. Staff was great. My only complaint would be that my room was quite small, the beds are cool but take too much space and was not easy to move around. I recommend asking for one of the beds in the bottom and not the top because the lockers are at the side of the bed so you need to climb up and down every time you need something from there. Breakfast was very nice and it's always a big plus to have that included! Thanks!

An amazing stay at Dominica !!! The staff is really easy-going, and the hostal has nothing to see with what I had seen so far. Wonderful decoration, many common rooms to share and talk with the other travelers and many activities offered by the staff (visits, parties, etc). Thanks a lot, hope to see you soon :)

Me and my girlfriend had the worst travel experience ever at Dominica Hostel. On the first day of trip we left for dinner. When we got back, we found the locker of our PRIVATE room broken with all our value belongins STOLEN: cellphone, ipad, perfume, wallet. Detail:they have a bar that let outside people get in. Lack of responsability! The worst part: the owners were not honest enought to assume their responsability of a robbery inside a private room and only gave us 100 dollars as a refund!

It seems to me that Dominica was once good a good hostel. Their facilities, the layout of the shared rooms, bathrooms and common areas are very nice and well planned. The bunk bed arrangement gives you some privacy like I've never experienced in another hostel. But it definitely needs a makeover and a better maintenance. Security is also a problem there. Although I felt safe in a first moment, this feeling was completely gone after a friend had his private room broken into and his stuff stolen.

We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. Our room was nice but on streetside so really noisy with all party people passing by on Saturday night. Hostel was expanding when we were there in February so a lot of noise during the day. But this work will make the hostel probably better. Located near a lot of bars and restaurants, probably the nicest area of Santiago.

great location and nice room design

Had a great time, and apart from a proper luggage storage for check out or check in day, is up to world standards with some added charm.

Very nice and helpful staff, but the hostel us noisy (specially the doors to the dorms), internet was not working most of the time.

The design of the bunker beds is absolutely the best I have ever seen. It allows great privacy, low level of noise and disruptions, super comfy night lights, and even your own plug to recharge phones/computers, and all achieved without touching or spoiling the turn of the century character of the house or the large rooms. The bathrooms and showers are very comfortable, clean and well designed too. Hat's off to the Architect or Decorator who thought out so well the design of the facilities.
