This place was the only dorm accomodation available at short notice in the summer. It was a perfectly adequate option and people staying there and working there were friendly.

A comfortable hostel right bang in the centre of bustling Rekjavic. Private rooms in the main building, as well as a mixed dorm block opposite which is quite large, so easy to meet others, although some separation and privacy with the hospital style curtains. Nice communal kitchen and dining area and breakfast if you want to pay extra. Clean and tidy. The manager is very friendly, the other staff less so.

Some trouble with getting the booked room, unsatisfactory explanation about Hostelworld miscommunication. Eventually solved though. Room very small, but got complimentary good breakfast. Location excellent for walkers, but don't come with a car.

Location very good, and good axcess to the Internet. Light, sparsely furnitured rooms. A little trouble with getting our room at arrival, seems to be miscommunication between Hostelworld and the hotell. Staff didn't give a very reliable impression. Cleaning of bathrooms was not very good.

We had booked a twin private room with shared bathroom. When we got there, he said that he received the booking a 2 dorm room beds. And then he asked if we had our own sleeping bags and towels. After arguing a bit he gave us a twin room for the agreed price with towels and sheets. The room was tiny though. I suggest you book directly with the hostel so there is no confusion. I sure they have a site.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hostel. The large dorm is enormous meaning there was plenty of space and it was a great place to meet people. Kitchen facilities are good and location is fairly ideal.

Good location, a 1 min walk from the main tourist street and a 15 min walk to the Flybus Terminal. No common room. The receptionist forgot that I was waiting for him to give me my linen (not included in the price). He made me wait 30 min, before he remembered. No lockers for luggage. When I asked about lockers, all the guy could offer was for me to hide my backpack in his office. Good hostel if you\'re in Reykjavik for the excursions, but you won\'t make any new friends at the hostel.

Great location and very clean. Showers were good and rooms were well heated. It was very quiet though. I was hoping to meet some people but there are no organised activities and it was not a social atmosphere even in the dorm. Breakfast was overpriced if staying in the dorm - much easier to self-cater for brekky. Cable TV in the kitchen was good. Overall a comfortable place to stay.

Great location in the heart of RVK with a helpful staff. The Hostel is in the old Norwegian Embassy so it has quite a bit of charm.

The hostel is a very nice place and kept spotless clean. The atmosphere is quiet for relaxing and the staff are friendly. Many brochures are available for the various tours around the country. The beds are very sturdy. Hand soap is provided in the washrooms and laundry service is available.
