Do not confuse with the new hostel. This one is on the edge of town but within easy walking disatance. It has a magnificent view of the Villerrica Vollcano from the garden.

Clean hostel, large kitchen, good value for money, very nice! Just one minus: there are two Donde German hostels in town, and the owner - a great guy, very serviceminded - was only to be found on the other hostel. There was no reception at ours, and we couldn't get in touch with anybody during our stay - not before our check out-day. At two occations we went to the other Donde German hostel - to get advise on/ buy volcano trips, kayaking and the like - but the reception was closed. Anybody home?

The hostel itself is great. We had a nice room and the bathrooms are big and clean. Pay attention when you book a room because there are two Donde Germans. Both of them are from the same owner and nice, but one is more in the center, newer and more expensive. Too bad the breakfast isn't included. But the biggest disadvantage was that the owner wasn't present most of the times we needed him and that he only seemed to be interested in the money. I am not sure if I would recommend this place..

We had an excellent stay here. Good place to relax. Cleanliness is indeed exceptional. The room was OK in size and the bed was huge. The garden is vary pleasant and with a great view of the volcano. Staff is very prompt in answering any questions you may have. As others have said, there are some rules, but most are just common sense. The only annoying one is the check out rule which says you must leave the hostel at 12 or pay 3000 pp. Luggage storage for free. No breakfast, but can use kitchen.

Some pluses and minuses. Pluses: Exceptionally clean hostel, and a roomy kitchen. Pleasant outdoor area with tables, has views of Volcano Villarica. Quieter street than most Pucon hostels. Minuses: even low level conversation in the room next door could be heard clearly in our room (we had one of the rooms without an ensuite bathroom). No sign outside to help you find the hostel (in Rosales street).

We rented the "deluxe" appartment with a nice double bed, private bathroom and a full kitchen included. There was also a nice garden with flowers and hammocks with a direct view of the Villarrica "active" vulcano! For us, a couple of University teachers, that arrived by car from Argentina, the place was ideal, just a little away from the turmoil of downtown Pucon, but very close to a supermarket where you could get everything even if you don't have a car. Highly recommended.

Very nice hostel with good atmosphere. Very clean rooms and clean kitchen for shared use, were you can also meet other travellers. Great host, who can also organise excursions (for example rafting or climbing Volcan Villarrica).

We really enjoyed this place. Lovely yard and view. Location away from the town centre and quiet... except for dogs sometimes yapping at night. Also would be good if the shower didn't run cold in the middle of a shower. Laundry service good value and quick service.Helpful staff organizing tours.

The hostel was very nice, while it is 2 blocks from the TurBus station, its a tad away from the center of town, with all its restaurants, tour companies, and the beach, that being said, it is nice and quiet, and the walk is only about 5 mins. The newer building with some of the twin rooms and shared bathrooms did not have the hot-water hooked up yet, and the window that could be opened was tiny, providing for a very warm room, and a freezing cold shower.

This is like staying at a very strict Grandma´s house where there are too many rules. All the basic amenities are good and clean, but there is NO vibe here. Staff is nonexistant and is only there to take money from you. Her 3 dogs will keep everyone up at night, as they howl and bark at will. When the toilet was clogged, she handed us the plunger and walked away. Not a welcoming experience! Do not stay here if you are single traveller, may be okay for couples. Also located far from the center.
