Nice hostel, rooms rather spacious, bathroom very spacious, a lot of board games to have a good time with friends, staff very nice, kitchen facilities good enough even if there was no freezer.

The owner, Linda, is very nice and very funny, if I have to go to Donegal again, sure I will choose the same hostel.

Had a lovely stay at the Donegal Independent Hostel. Our host Linda took a real interest in her guests and went out of her way to help us and make sure our stay was as comfortable and entertaining as possible. I will be recommending to anyone wishing to stay in the area on a budget. Thank you!

Beautiful countryside home turns into hostel. Linda was so welcoming & went it of her way to make you feel welcome. It was a 10-min walk to town but very scenic along the bay. No breakfast provided but that was no matter. Lots of small places in town. Still off-season, so my 5-bed dorm was over to a 3-bed dorm, which I had all to myself. Linda started a fire each night and kept it going. Hostel is perfect for relaxing or doing outdoor activities. Very clean. I would definitely go back!

Lovely group of people staying at the hostel, very welcoming! Linda was very gracious and made sure our stay was as comfortable as could be. A bit of a walk to town given how cold it was, but the atmosphere and cleanliness far outweighed the journey into town. Plus the hostel itself was kept very warm, fireplace and all! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We were travelling around the whole island and when planning our next day (beside a peat fire), Linda had loads of great ideas and made us feel very welcome. Brilliant hostel!

We coudn´t be better!! Linda and the little child were one of the nicest people we´ve ever met in a hostel. I´ll never forget "The Cube" :) + The room was very nice, clean and warm. We´ll come back there for sure next time we go to Donegal . Irene & Rocio.

It is one of the best hostels I have been to. Linda is such a lovely and great person! The rooms are great, the kitchen has everything, the showers have nice hot water (that's not everywhere so). And the best thing is the fireplace. I loved it, wish I had one at home. ;) If you're around - go there! :-D

The host Linda extremely friendly and accomodating. Felt like we were staying at her home. Felt more like a B&B (without the breakfast) than a hostel. The hostel is a house. We got to have a private room due to the low season even though we didn't book one.

Linda is great! I stayed there in the beginning of March and I was freezing at night but nevertheless I enjoyed my stay there so much. It is very cozy especially with the fireplace in the common room, it really feels like a home.

He woman who runs it, Linda, is so sweet, funny, and helpful. She introduced us to the other people staying at the hostel and really contributed to the amazing experience my travelling companion and I had in Donegal Town.
