A lovely little hostel with a very homey feel - more like a B&B than a hostel, which was nice. Linda, the owner, was lovely and friendly and gave advice on what to do and made all guests feel very welcome. Was further than I thought out of town, but I had a car so wasn't an issue for me and there was free parking which was great.

This was one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in! The staff were so friendly and helpful, all stopping to chat and offer us help and directions without being asked. We stayed at Easter, and the whole place was decorated for the occassion; nice attention to detail! We were also all given Easter chocolate on Easter Sunday :) Stay in this hostel if you come to Donegal- it's in a great location, has amazing staff, and couldn't have beeen any better in my opinion!!

We had a lovely stay, as a couple we had organized to stay in a private room, but Linda the host gave us far more than we bargained for. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with and ensuite bathroom. The atmosphere at Donegal hostel was a home away from home. Linda was extremely helpful always giving advice on how to get to where we wanted to go, but just lovely to have a chat to in general! There is also kitchen facilities which is great, as you save money being able to make meals.

Cons: Very close to Donegal town very clean, Linda is very helpful Pros: The building is old. Someone came in at 3 AM and the whole building was creaking. But it is cheap + good value for money

We had a nice stay. Hostel is cozy and has a beautiful view. It's located 1km far from Donegal Town, which is 15 min walking. The owner is nice and she will explain you where to go if you are travelling around. Kitchen is fully equiped. I stayed in a 5 bed dorm. Room was a bit small but the bathroom was big. The shower is amazing! I had the best shower ever, hot water, perfect pressure... Very nice. I would recommend this hostel if you are planning to travel around Co. Donegal.

Go for Linda. She's the most charming woman around. A lovely fireplace, easy access to town -- just a wonderful way to spend your nights in the charming little city up North!
