This is a great place if you want a clean, simple night. It's on Otres beach, which is great because it is not right next to all the madness on Ochetueal beach. We have stayed at this place twice because it is quiet, clean, and to the point. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice staff, clean, mosquito net available. There is no locker in the room, but valuables can be given to the staff.

The first day we arrived there we had the bungalow/room near the street. The owner told us that we should store are electronics if her safe because it frequently happened that people would force in and steal your "electronics". It really did freak us out so we decided to switch to the more expensive bungalow which we honestly found was worth the price. The atmosphere is very boring, no common area to chat with the others and the staff seem to prefer to keep to themselves. This place is only OK!

Friendly staff and a nice quiet location. Security in rooms was not great, as they were made of straw, but you could leave your valuables with reception. We had shared bathroom, which was fine although basic. Pleasant stay

Good quality stone bungalows. Wooden ones around are a bit cheaper at other places but you get what you pay for. Staff was super helpful. I got sick and they gave me some stomach medicine and hydration salts to save me a tuk tuk ride.

The location is ok, across the road from the beach, but we got destroyed in bed bug bites during our stay.

We had a very pleasant stay in Dont Tell Mama. We had booked room for one night via hostelworld but ended up staying one week! The place was just what we were looking for. Quiet, no noisy bar or backpacker crowds, breakfast was delicious every morning, rooms were cozy and clean. At that point we had already been travelling for 13 months and we appreciated the easy and simple life that Dont tell mama and the German owners offered us. Would definitely recommend this to all!

Great location on otres, friendly owners and spotlessly clean well decorated rooms.

It was a holiday weekend in Cambodia, so occupancy rates in guest houses were pretty high. But I managed to find a room here. Very happy with the room - which was clean and tidy. Hotel in a good location just behind the beach. Quiet at night time.

We stayed in one of the double rooms which were much cheaper than the bungalows and it was fantastic value. There are 2 bathrooms shared between 4 rooms so we pretty much had a bathroom to ourself. Our room was lovely with a good mosquito net. No air con but the fan was more than adequate. The room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Location was fantastic, at the end of Otres Beach, a nice quiet beach away from the crowds of Serendipity. We were 2 min walk from the beach.

Solid quaint little hostel. You definitely pay for what you get but the owners are helpful and it place is spick and span with regular cleaning.

We booked this hostel last minute because none of the places we tried had space over Xmas , it looked a bit basic and boring and we knew that it was across the road to the beach . And it was , they are friendly and helpful enough and can advise you when asked but they keep it short. There is little to no atmosphere, ut the rooms are clean and the bed is good. We stayed in a room with shared showers that was kept clean and neat. Not the worst you can do by a mile.You can do better or worse
