The hostel is a bit far away from the city centre but just next to the metro and train station. The only problem we got when arrived was that the gate was closed and we didn't have a cellphone to call the hostel. Also there was no hot water during our stay. But overall the hostel is good, staff are friendly and helpful.

Dostoevsky hostel is great! Anya and her mum are so friendly and helpful! And had a great night's sleep here after an exhausting train journey.

We had a 4 bed dorm room which was really nice with big windows and a balcony leading off our room which was fantastic cos it had a view of the river and you could smoke on the balcony. There wasn't much room in the communal area though but the facilities were adequate for a short stay.

Personally I'm not a big fan of crazy party hostel. This Dostoevsky Hostel is quite a good place to stay calmly. When I was there, there was a nice company to chat. We enjoyed it. ;-)
