Extremely helpful staff with great advice. The room was perfect and the hostel has great character. It is off the busy streets which is good since you will need a refuge after a day of shopping. The hostel was great and I would recommend this to anyone I know traveling to Morocco. Extremely helpful staff with great advice. The room was perfect and the hostel has great character. This guesthouse is the best place to stay in Marrakesh! It's close to the center and is really nice and cosy. We had shower and air-conditioning in our room, and we could use kitchen. At the roof there is very nice tarrase where you can chill out anytime. Mohamed is the best host ever. He was extremely helpfull providing us with maps and advices. We suggest to use pick-up service from the airport - taxi won't bring you by the door and it costs 150Dh. We rcommend this place to everyone! This guesthouse is the best place to stay in Marrakesh! Our time in Marrakech was made so much more enjoyable by the fact that we stayed at Douarskoll. Mohammed was the perfect host, providing us with tea maps and hospitality on our late arrival. The riad itself is a small cosy place with excellent breakfasts, a beautiful terrace and comfortable rooms-not to mention hot showers! It was close to the action of the souks but was a real respite after the city hassle. Mohammed is an excellent cook and will endeavour to meet your every need. Will stay againOur time in Marrakech was made so much more enjoyable by the fact that we stayed at Douarskoll. Awesome how the staqff is looking after customers. Dinner cooked by Mohammed is a must do! It was our base while backpacking Morocco and the staff is very helpful with recommedations of very good places in differnent cities of the country! It is worth doing a Sahara trip with Sahara Expeditions which is suggested by the staff. To sum up a great place and very helpful staff to make the rest of your trip really easy!Awesome how the staqff is looking after customers. Dinner cooked by Mohammed is a must do! Too commercialized. Staff took almost every opportunity to overcharge us. Firstly, we were offered a pickup from the airport for 15 euros, which was way overpriced. A ride from a petit taxi costs at most 5 euros (20-30 Dh).
Next, beware of anyone who chats you up as you drag along your luggage. They pretend to be there to help out of goodwill, but upon reaching the riad, they demand for a 'tariff'Too commercialized. Was a lovely place to stay. Defo ask the hostel to send someone to guide you there, because it is down back alleys. Staff are lovely and helpful, rooms are small but have character. Is a good place if you're on a budget. Close to Place Jemma el Fna.
